Meaning it's a resource and revenue boon that will create fiscal solvency allowing for a better base game.
It's not a sync.
Bungie didn't make it... they didn't spend money, resources, or labor on it. They won't maintain it.
That's the facts Guardians.
I also... @Bungie want to highlight Ali's "journalism" again... what are you going to do about it his hit pieces?
Because he was wrong... lied, said he had Bungie employees telling him that you were making the game. That Sony would let you make this game without oversight.

7 RepliesThat's cute you believe that, honestly. Let's ignore how the "base game" monetizes: - expansions - dungeons - season pass - season pass ranks - Eververse - older content - in-game events Like, Bungie practically monetizes just existing in this game. If Destiny 2 isn't "financially solvent", then that means Bungie execs are once again so inept that that they need another studio to bail their asses out of bankruptcy.

3 RepliesDoes that mean it will be good then

It will be a cash cow , it will be popular and have endless mirco transactions….which aren’t so mirco .
Yeah that’s what they said about revenue from Eververse and they didn’t do squat with the extra revenue except make a worse game and get layoffs. But you’re a shill who thinks posting here makes you a “collaborator” with Bungie…so of course you lap it up and call it gold

3 RepliesHopefully some interesting lore for us lore scholars in the new game …

1 ReplyEdited by Golden: 10/15/2024 7:02:56 PMCrazy, it looks way better and the abilities look amazing compared to D2 But it’s also a mobile game so probably lots of micro transactions

lol…you got that right. Looks like Net ease made a better destiny than Bungie…from scratch on a mobile platform. How embarrassing!

It’ll be worth a look. I played a bit of Genshin and HSR, and they’re fine. I’d expect the monetization to be about on par (NetEase has probably learned about monetizing in the West since Diablo Immortal). Bungie puts in basically 0 effort for a free 5-10% take on revenue. Not incredible but definitely a positive for them if the game is moderately successful like Diablo Immortal continues to be. This’ll also jump drastically if it’s released in Asia and is somewhat successful. Mobile gaming is absolutely massive there. The deal was made back when the game was doing really well in the post-Forsaken era. But people are gonna dump on it here anyways bc this forum loves to hate. There’s a reason why Bungie uses Reddit more than here…

7 RepliesDoesn't matter if it's not made by Bungie. Releasing a mobile game that will most certainly be even more predatory than the actual game while also showing it has cool stuff that players would love to have in the actual game is a bad look
-
It’ll also be trash full of micro transactions
-
Wish I had eyesight that allowed me to try it tbh ... need a big screen for everything, assuming mobile means phone ? Please, no hate responses, I am 72yrs old, what do I know ..

Those are some nice facts. Unfortunately the urchins care little for those and plan to be upset and whine regardless.
-
10 RepliesI hope they realize nobody's going to play it.
-
20 RepliesHow many of the haters on this forum do you suppose will be playing it on day 1?

"Destiny Rising is NOT a Bungie game" That's what's makes it so interesting lol The characters and armor look miles better than anything Bungie could puke out, and yes the gameplay is slow and clunky, but it begs the question of what this game could be with a professional competent studio behind it And Sony has no say over those game, the deal was made pre-sony -
14 RepliesIt doesn't matter that it's not made by Bungie. What does matter is that Bungie could have reached out to another studio at any point to help with D2, but didn't. This game could be so much better but Bungie is way too focused on expanding to other games instead of the only one currently making them any profit.

1 ReplyEven if it was a B game - who cares what serial moaners, kids, trolls and entitled clowns think 😀

This whole game and community is a -blam!- toxic parasite. There is so much misinformation and assumptions being thrown around, I'm genuinely questioning if Destiny 2 feels like some sort of fraud.
-
1 ReplyDestiny Rising looks good,if this game will definitely be released on ps5 and PC, then a lot of people maybe play it.(doge)
-
And who's the one working on destiny rising? Considering they made a deal with NetEase, not a surprise if they'll be the one working on it and experiencing Once Human firsthand, I believe they can flesh out the world of destiny much better than bungie ever could

1 ReplyEdited by SkinPoppeR: 10/15/2024 3:07:52 AMDestiny is a Brand… Just like Halo is a Brand, CoD, Apex, Diablo. Videogames become “Brands” when Prey 2 got released. We old heads warned everyone but as use folks didn’t listen. The game had literally nothing to do with Prey, which still deserves a sequel, but because “Prey” was already an established Brand Name is was much easier to simply market that vs a new IP. Videogames are no longer self contained experiences, they are Household Brand Names… I’m actually looking forward to Destiny: Rising. Unlike the rest of the market this is actually “On Brand” for Destiny.

The deal was done before Sony bought them.

I want a crossbow too…
