Destiny Rising, the reason why we haven't gotten anything new in D2. Mobile garbage is going to take it all. Who wants to bet it's going to have micro transactions out the -blam!-? Who am I kidding, it will.

Edited by Meaga: 10/16/2024 3:53:35 PMI’m pretty sure that this game is being developed by another company. If so, this means that it’s just going to generate revenue for bungie without the inclusion of any of their resources. Like renting a house, or twitch taking a portion of your earnings, kinda.

NetEaze is the Developer. Bungie is letting them make that game. They bought in to the destiny universe to make there own game based upon destiny but an alt universe. No assets at bungie helping them. It’s a Gatcha developer that has money to make something like this. Bungie is using all its assets on marathon and a few on other things that they ended up canceling.

3 RepliesBungie didn't make the game. It's a license. None of their budget or resources... aside from licensing the IP and assets.

Ignorance is supposesd to be bliss. You're doing it wrong.

100 million for development of Destiny Rising, the other side projects, plus a CEO who was buying cars, studios, and probably other things too.

Edited by SnakeEyes734: 10/15/2024 5:27:14 AMThey paid 100 million just for the license. Expect heavy monetization Bungie did have a producer overwatch and approve content to make sure everything still looks and feels like Destiny
