After looking at the loot for the vespers dungeon, none of it seems worth it...not even ice breaker. This is one dungeon I won't be playing. It also seems extremely mechanic heavy which is another negative

56 Repliesdatto was on stream bragging about how he was at bungie consulting on the current content. so when you’re wondering why the game is tedious and not fun datto is partly to blame. i refuse to watch a bunch of unemployable trench coat mafia rejects, play this dungeon.
-
It's not that bad. (Outside of contest mode) But yeah it's not meant for the "average player" i suppose. But it's definitely doable.

21 RepliesEdited by Roach: 10/12/2024 7:21:34 AMIts not designed for the average player. It was designed, with the streamers consulting, so they can gatekeep it for views and to make themselves look good with their guides. Bungie consult with these idiots on current content. Bungie no longer makes content that is fun, every little thing is designed to be a chore .. looking at you Dual Destiny and Tonics, that makes you feel like this game is more like a job than something you play for fun. I give it a year until GTA 6 launches. Even the NPC's will have left a week after that appears. No one but the most terminally addicted is going to be spending money on Bungies "But, But, we really did live up the hype this time" next car crash called Frontiers, when the game of the decade appears.

They love chasing away the casual/regular players at this point. They seem to be actively driving players away from this game, so it'll die. Games designed for the top 5%.
-
10 RepliesThe boss has literally five billion health. All they took from the backlash to Ghosts of the Deep was to make the bosses even tankier. No wonder this game died. I wish I didn't get the annual pass but I won't be making that mistake again.
-
6 RepliesMade it to final boss twice....very mechanic heavy. Boss health pool is ridiculously large.
-
Also, STILL no player agency to chase the weapons either. Another dungeon to the list. Get the exotic and never play it again. That’s how dungeons have been for my group for a long time now.

4 RepliesLol I got hell of a lot of push back when I said "Bungie need to make more unique and creative legendary weapons" Let's be honest no matter what weapons Bungie makes at this point it's the same as any other weapons out their dropping only with a different origin trait we are literally grinding the same rolls almost every season and expansion even the Raid and Dungeon weapons doesn't feel all that worth grinding for due to the amount of effort you have to put in. Bungie keeps literally putting the same rolls on majority of the weapons in the same slot and too paranoid to combine certain perks together. Come on imagine a legendary Last Word Fan Fire hand cannon. Legendary versions *Twin Tail ( two-tail Fox) *Fan Fire (Last Word) *Split Decision/Double Barrel (Conditional Finality) *Explosive round HMG (Xenophage) *Ons-shot heavy GL (parasite) *Heavy sniper *Heavy Shotgun *Heavy Railgun (grand overture) *Heavy Bow *Heavy scythe *Heavy Axe Dude don't get me started on perk combinations 😂

There are two things I want from this dungeon. The gl with envious arsenal and bait and switch and the ar with jolting feedback.
-
Its not mechanic heavy at all. Seriously...d2 players only want mechanics such as " collect 5 motes and dunk then dps " ? Mechanics are what makes dungeons and raids what they are. Or else they would just be glorified strikes.
-
What did you get roll wise so far?
-
Another dungeon with uninteresting weapons that I’ll run once and never look at again
-
Do all you guys do is cry? It’s no more mechanic heavy then Warlords ruin or Ghosts of The Deep. Hell I’d argue Duality is more mechanic heavy. You’re literally picking up things and dunking them or exploding them. It’s not that complicated
-
1 ReplyMediocrity isn't going to cut it anymore. That's so 2020-2023.
-
The gl ?
-
The weapons do look mid tbh but I'll still play.. I though the mechanics didn't look to bad. Didn't bother trying contest mode though. Not interested in that
-
6 RepliesAlso how can bungie say that this is a new dungeon when it's literally the mission for revision 0...
-
1 ReplyLast night for about 20 minutes I watched a couple of twitch streams from 2 well known streamers running this dungeon, and all I saw was grimaces on their faces and cussing from their teammates with copious amounts of "this is BS" ... no evidence of people having fun! 🤭
-
Totally agree it was fun to watch the stream but I hate the reused buff mechanics . busy work didn't like the setting either 2nd Dungeon better be fantastic or I'm out !
-
23 RepliesI watched some of the dungeon on Twitch. Bungie screwed it up with their heavy mechanics again. They better revise their priorities fast, or this game is history. They cannot rely on FOMO and daily logins anymore.
-
4 Repliesyep, like the last 2 dungeons... total money waste
-
1 ReplyThe armor has it ups and down. Ice Breaker I agree isn’t worth it. Until I try the dungeon myself I won’t know. But it did look too mechanic heavy. Which would be a huge negative.
-
8 RepliesThe Dungeon is not that mechanic heavy. A ton of the mechanics here have existed for Years, since the inception of Deep Stone Crypt. If you don’t have Beyond Light, there is the Exotic Mission to familiarize yourself with the Scanner, Operator, and Suppressor Buff. Operator acts the exact same Scanner uses the Radar as opposed to on screen visual clues (like a glowing panel) Suppressor now has you summoning a clone to cause an explosion to suppress. The fact of the matter is that it’s still all relatively simple. And if you consider the Nuke Dunk as a major mechanic (being something that is a unique mechanic specific to the activity or sets of activities) do I have a message for you. DUNK MECHANICS ARE THE SINGLE MOST SIMPLE MECHANICS IN THE GAME AND NOT ALL THAT COMPLEX. You take an orb and place it there. How dumb is this community to find something that is trivial in understanding all that hard. Communication is key here. That’s it.
-
Mechanic heavy? This dungeon? Lol
-
Dungeon loot team habitually taking giant steamers. Unfortunate.
-
5 RepliesYou think it's mechanic heavy lmao.. yeah go ahead and sit this one out
