New exotics only available through Rahool
Seriously?? The [i]only[/i] way to get the new exotics, is to level Rahool all the way up, then reset him. Fastest way to do that is to focus exotics, but then you still need to spend TEN exotic engrams and TWENTY Ascendant Shards JUST to unlock the new exotics...
It's genuinely making me consider dropping the game, simply because one of the very few pieces of new content is locked behind an obscene grind. You used to be able to just get the new exotics with a few runs of legend lost sectors, but even that now only gives you exotics that are already unlocked.

3 RepliesI would have been OK with this if we only had to grind Rahool once and it stays leveled up like 30th Anniversary Xur does. Unfortunately, he reset. And now we have to re-grind every. Single. Season. It's horrible.

They started doing that last season. So yes. That's how it works.

1 ReplyI think it's alot more than 10 exotic engrams to level reset Rahool. I had about 16 exotic engrams saved on each character and that only got me to level 15 or 16. I'm close to resetting now.

I did it in 10 minutes. It was like this last season too. Plan ahead. Hope this helps.

Just do your weekly exotic lay ups in ritual activities and cash them in. Your pinnacle engrams count toward leveling him too. I’m trying to get a high roll on a specific exotic so I focused a few but everything was straight up and I’m almost rank 12. It’s a looter so you have to earn things.

It started with final shape a few months ago. You don't need to spend any exotic shards to unlock new exotics.

4 RepliesOh yeah they should've just asked you to spam lost sectors instead cause that was so much more fun. All you have to do is play the game, whatever activity you want, and you'll get engrams that'll get you to the exotic you want. It's infinitely better than a boring quest or asking you to spam lost sectors until it drops. Unbelievable.

I’ll take this over the drop rates back in Forsaken. It’s annoying but after I leveled for the season I stockpiled my exotics last season. Knowing to prepare helps. Didn’t have to use as many shards due to how many I had to decrypt

I was at rank 11 in like a minute...... it's called saving your materials and engrams for the update. Could have reset but I forgot the xp values for each focusing so I messed up there. It's better than running Lost sectors for a small chance at obtaining them.
