Lucky Pants nerf is extremely out of touch.
Lucky pants has not been a viable damage option for months. Genuinely zero reason for its damage to have been hit that hard. At most it’s a swap exotic or a champion killer for GMs. It’s not over powered, I’m not seeing videos on how “broken” it is, nor am I seeing it on every hunter. It was just a solid exotic. A loss of 150% damage is ridiculous. Do you WANT hunters to run nothing but combination blow or celestial? Do you want any variety at all???

It's the things like this that make the people who play this game for fun, not want to play anymore. Was yhe only reason I'd want to play around with certain hand cannons like malfeasance and the heavy burst ones.

1 ReplyI only used Lucky Pants for 3 things: Last Wish, Warlords Ruin final encounter, and Gambit. I used Malfeasance in combination, and yes, the damage output is insane but not game breaking. This nerf is NOT needed at all. This combined with the other nerfs hunters have recieved recently just tells me Bungo hates hunters.

Yeah I agree, the lack of variety in the game now is just appalling. The only build that made the game remotely playable for me was lucky pants. It already took a hit with the kinetic and weapon mod nerfs but now with another nerf there isn't going to be a good reason to stick to it without being at a massive disadvantage and to be honest I'm sick of celestial and sick of combination blow.

It went from 7x to 5.5x at max stacks 60–>45% per stack. It was definitely a top damage option. Look up any Chicken SI-2 build that utilizes it. https://youtube.com/@chicken_si-2?si=-mRV0wPC8Sx6NAYw With the change to ALH, and reconstruction, it would have catapulted it up even higher if it stayed as it was, and would be a strictly Hunter build with very high ease of use. It’s still going to be a good exotic, and being refreshable at x6 it has a higher uptime now.

So what I’m getting is that this “nerf” is a 150% damage removed, but also being easier to activate thanks to it not matching your super But don’t get the entire outrage it’s pretty much the same at least it looks like it to me

Do you want any variety at all???[/quote] It has been banned for the last two or three day 1 raid races because it is insanely broken. It still is. Actually more so now. You lose a bit of damage but now it's damage + Stompees in a single exotic. Bungie running out of ways to favor hunters so they're just combining exotics now.

I mean, it’s one of the best choices on Hunter with the lowest investment. I think it’s warranted. The peacekeeper buff might be a problem though, lol. I see Tarrabah being fun for about 2 days before they disable it.
