Maybe your game would suck less if you didn't invite streamers there to play it early and then they make videos a week early ruining it for EVERYONE

Yes you're spoiling everything a week early
But we must keep integrity of day 1 contest modes and not have an option for regular or contest at launch.

1 ReplyPerhaps you didn't get the memo, but Bungie isn't even trying to hide that it's their content creator's game anymore. Instead, they'd prefer to show you the gear you can only get if a) You pay for it or b) You play the game 8-12 hours a day to spin the wheel on those non-craftable rolls They didn't ruin it for everyone because they don't make it for everyone, just the same ever decreasing circle of a select few

Had bungie really thought of this properly, should of allowed every player access to it, they are struggling big time with player counts, allow people to try before they buy anymore seasons, alot of people are already quitting this game because of decisions being made and always catering to people who don't have jobs who just sit around playing games all day

This is very common in the industry, flying out content creators to play your stuff early. Its not just a bungie thing. And its not like they just do it for streamers either. I have a friend who lives in washington, who a couple months back, got invited to do a weeklong playtest session at bungie hq. This person was not a streamer, they dont even play bungie games to my knowledge, but they got an email. The moment they got done with it it was revealed that bungie had been doing a playtest run for marathon with some content creators. So even when they invite these content creators in to do stuff, its not like they just invite the big name streamers. People on the ground level get invited too. You just never hear about those people because they dont have a big reach.

Don’t care about the ruining or spoilers. I care that this game is cringy and they go so far out of their way to market through streamers. Streaming was cool for 2-3 years, not anymore.

Honestly, they should have grabbed different people to advertise. Aztecross has the personality to move on, the others are clinging to hope and promise. We need gothalion and broman back , the game was fun when they had bungie ear.

Letting people play the game early to show stuff off isn't catering, nor is it ruining anything. Take a week offline if you don't want spoilers.

Bungie themselves put out the twid showing the new weapons and perks the streamers aren’t spoiling they are showing the same stuff bungie is

Companies show way too much in marketing nowadays… a lot of the mystery and “holy crap what did I just find?” moments are lost. I think it kills some of THEIR joy for the game in exchange for business opportunities.
