Is it possible to refund future episodes if I bought the year pass?

Removing crafting combined with the pinnacle increase just to add a metric tonne more grinding (sorry, "engagement") is making me lose all interest in continuing with this game. I know there's a "I'm done with this game" post on here every day, but I've never been one of those people. After that b*ll*sh*t announcement was snuck in between other statements yesterday during the livecast, I'm losing what little interest I have left. Bungie is proving yet again they don't care about the player or our time, just metrics and "engagement." And apparently seasonal content "engagement" alone is the only indicator of this game's health - not raids or dungeons or any other more worthwhile activity. Apparently if people stop playing seasonal content after weapons have been crafted, that means this game is dead, or something. So yeah, if I can refund Revenant and whatever's next I would. I'm really regretting buying the year pass already and that's a first. This game is clearly heading backwards not forwards. This is the exact opposite of the "evolution" Bungie's been promising us. I'm already burnt out from all the grinding we're all gone a have to do just to get our preferred rolls. That new attunement system under another name is gonna be no better than onslaught's, which I'm still grinding for weapons I've attuned but continue to get either sh!t rolls or other weapons completely. This season will be no different. Removing crafting along with the pinnacle cap increase is destiny moving backwards. I could live with the pinnacle cap, but removing seasonal crafting is just a D!CK MOVE and going way too far. I'm beyond disappointed. Give me my money back Bungie. I bought the year pass for the craftable weapons, not your copy+paste seasonal activities and certainly not boring love stories for 8 weeks and 1 or 2 scenes of the villain. You scammed me. You sold me on something then turned around and changed the content for the worse. I'm beyond disappointed with this decision.

  • I wish I could get my money back for unplayed future content. Lesson’s learned.

Doubt it otherwise I’d try to do the same. You’d think you’d be able to because while it was paid for months ago Echoes comes with the expansion and the actual content we paid for releases next week. If I had known they were going to take away QoL like this I would not have gotten the deluxe edition. “Convenient” how they waited to release this information until a week before it goes live. So disappointing and disrespectful.

    • Okay, peace out Girl Scout Here what happens if Bungie doesn’t add grinding elements to a game revolved around grinding for better gear so that you can go grind for more better gear. Day 1 - you’re already max level at the beginning of a new season, great! Now you don’t have to worry about that. Time to go play the new seasonal activity for a few hours and maybe get a few red borders. Super fun End of week 1 - Wow awesome you! You’ve managed to get all the new weapons and their red borders. You finished the whole episode because it’s no longer time gated either. You’re completely done with everything one week later. Awesome you! Beginning of week 2 - Maybe you’re feeling a little zesty since you just completed the whole season and have nothing left to do. You decide it’s finally time to jump into the new Dungeon. You get your feet wet a bit, but ultimately you’re pretty bad and maybe you decide “I’ll come back to this once someone can guide me through it. It’s a bit too tough”. You decide you’ll hop on tomorrow for more seasonal activities. Middle of week 2 - You just got home and you’re ready to freaking play man. You are truly PUMPED! Oh wait… you’ve done everything. No new missions, or weapons to grind for. You’ve done it all because your precious heart just couldn’t wait to grind everything out. End of week 2 - you come to the Bungie forums to complain that Bungie sucks and there’s nothing for you to do in the game anymore. You cry about how you just spent $15 to get new content and you’ve got nothing left to do, and no reason to keep playing. You blame Bungie for everything and tell them they didn’t do a good enough job adding new content that you’re invested in. This is what happens when Bungie stops adding “artificial grinding” as you casuals like to call it. Hopefully this opened your eyes. Now go out there and have fun grinding in a game revolved around grinding for new gear. Peace homies!

I was considering buying the episode but when I heard it’s not having the seasonal weapons craftable there went any chance of me buying the season. Seasoned weapons imo should be craftable no questions asked because seasonal content gets REMOVED and the sources of earning them goes away. Resulting in having to pray xur and banshee sell a god roll at some point if we miss the season. Gotta love when people complain about fomo then they complain about something good that helps counter fomo. What they should do for crafting imo is seasonal weapons and reprised weapons should be craftable and content that gets a loot refresh like dungeons and raids should have craftable loot as well since the content has been the game long enough there’s no harm in just making the loot craftable. If the loot is new new not reprised then it shouldn’t be craftable. For example plug one and the stasis glaive are rotating into the pool. Plug one should be craftable since this is the 3rd time it’s being reprised while the glaive should not since it’s new. I am pro crafting because it helps counter fomo and horrible rng.

        • Stop giving Bungie blanket money for the entire year. You should actually just stop giving them money period but that's just me

          • You bought The Final Shape + Annual Pass like I did? The answer to your request is no. You - like I did, agreed to Bungie's SLA a long time ago by accessing the game, granting them freedom to do what they want with their content. You know that the game, even if you have paid for it, isn't even your property. Make the best out of it, or forget about your money and let this mess of a game go.

              • Highly unlikely you can get a refund at this stage in all honesty. You have had a good run if it is only now you are feeling let down by Bungie. For many others this has been an annual thing. For me it has been about playing with friends. Bungie as a dev long ago stopped being worthy of my money.

              • You request a refund from the vendor that sold it to you, not Bungie. The vendor won't refund you either, given you've already used the product you bought, but it's at least the right place to ask.

It’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old

Did you buy the annual pass on the storefront of the platform (psn,xb,steam, epic) you play on ? If you did then try contacting customer support for the platform holder and outline how the game is changing in an unexpected way. I don’t know whether you’ll be successful but it’s the way to find out.

                  • As much as you may want to, you aren't gonna blackmail a multi-billion dollar gaming company over a 40 dollar refund. You can request one from the vendor you bought it from, but I doubt that works either since you've used the product for 4 months already.

                      • Nope. Any refund attempts need to be made with the vendor who sold you the annual pass and even then it's been 4 months since release so it's easily way outside of any refund policy.
