The only raids i have done in d2 is vog and crota. I cant do the new raids because lfg being elitists. All posts say must have experience/know what to do.
So i cant buy raid weapons from the kiosk or get them from the raids. I havent even entered the new raid yet.
It would be nice if we can farm spoils from dungeons as well as raids.

Edited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 10/2/2024 12:15:29 PMI propose Dungeons get there own currency "Trophies Of Valor"
-
The reason you “can’t” do those raids is because you don’t want to. Literally no one is stopping you You should have to do raids for raid gear.
-
2 RepliesDon't have an issue with it if Bungie allow for them to be spent in Dungeons as well, given that farming them from Dungeons is pointless if you can't also spend them there. What form that takes, whether the same end of activity chest as raids or something more restricted, doesn't matter.
-
To be fair in the name of the currency “Spoils of conquest” It does sound like it’s not really raid tied in it’s name really so to be fair I think it should actually be added to dungeons for weeklies at least that way it cuts a exploit in half from being farmed on other dungeons Even if dungeon weapons aren’t craftable I think it would be pretty nice to have it like that
-
That’s not a bad idea actually. Would be a nice change.
-
6 RepliesI love how this post triggers raiders lol
-
I wish we could.
-
Agreed but other than the smg and maybe the pulse rifle you’re not missing much from the raid loot from salvations Edgar raid imo.
-
Anywhere you can put down a banner should have spoils as a reward
-
I need more ways to spend them, all postmasters have been full for a long time and I don't even raid that often and I have all raid gear
-
1 ReplyI love how you are lying and hoping Bungie falls for it. I’ve done multiple SE runs with complete randoms and ZERO comms besides typing in chat the beginning shape for fourth encounter. I’ve done CoS and RoN with randoms completely commless. From all my 10 years of playing the game, besides three groups that had racist people, the only time I have ever encountered people who think raiding is “toxic” is when they try to get carried and get called out for it. Judging from your post, it’s clear you are that type of person.

There should be a vendor for dungeons too

Just to start I honestly think it is very silly Bungie made several old exotics (Most of which are not very good :P ) cost spoils of conquest. More over they cost 240 which is the inventory cap. Anarchy and Acrius are still decent weapons over all which sine in some niches. What I am saying is the grind isn't really worth the reward. Example: If your using Acrius you can probably also be using a Sword which in all honestly is more ammo efficient and lets you use your exotic elsewhere. I would like to see Dungeons include adept weapons for Master, heck I also think Master raids should have artifice armor but back to the currency thing. In all honestly I would rather see spoils be folded in to the core currencies. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a Raid Weapon I don't think the game should force you to spend both a harmonizer AND spoils to red boarder the weapon. Personally I am lucky enough to have a group of great friends and since season of the Wish we have gradually grown as a team and conquered more and more of the raids. However this is simply due to us actually being able to make our lives work in ways that let us play together. LFG can be a VERY nasty place that is more often then not very friendly to players with less experience.

Looks like you’ve woken the hive. 😂
-
Do the gate way of vog then get all the secret chests. The do the vow entry way get the secret chest. And do the beginning of ctota get secret chest. That like 60 spiols on all three characters per week.
-
If they give us craftable weapons from Dungeons, then that might be something to consider. To be honest, I don't have much motivation to run Dungeons after I've nabbed the Exotic. I even only have the Catalyst for Buried Bloodline, and that's because I almost never take it off my Hunter.

Wish I could trade mine in on something I want. I have stacks in the vault on all 3 characters.

Edited by Sen: 10/1/2024 12:37:16 AMWhat really bugs me is that there is such a lack of posts where people talk about how they met their clan members, friends and their achievements in the game. It's shamed here because you're seen as a try hard for playing the game how it's designed and getting better and taking on harder challenges within the game. When I see someone with a title, or something I don't have, I think "If they did it, then it's possible for me to do it". For some reason, people think everyone that's in LFG is a bad person and generalize when we're all just trying to play the game together. People make fun of people's game time and achievements in game as if they're flexing, but they're just proud of what they accomplished. And that's ok. People are pushed away instead of inspired. Especially when it comes to streamers and content creators that some of them even provide guides to do raids and how to resolve mechanics. "I shouldn't have to find 5 other people and learn the raid". Well if you want the loot you do. And that's just how it is and how this game has always been designed. There is such a lack of people who even know where to look for people. Join the LFG discord and you will find chill people to play with. There are bad apples everywhere but there's no point in not trying. People also say "if everyone made a post then no one would join" when the point is that you can also have newer people join you if newer raiders just took that chance. But they don't. They come here and tell the players who get stuff done that they're the problem. Edit: Don't get me wrong. This game is work. Every MMO is if you want to progress. But people like that sort of game where they need to log on to do a task whether it's solo or not. It's worth it to get a group together and it isn't Bungie's fault for not catering to grown adults who need to get over their anxiety when meeting people. I did. There are proper channels in real life as well. On top of that, there are people who don't understand the concept of an MMO and how good they have it. A lot of MMOs have harder content locked by item level. And if you're so bad at the game, you won't be able to get the loot you need to get what's the equivalent of Pinnacle cap. I'm against having pinnacle rewards being part of just naturally playing. Pinnacles should be from pinnacle activities. You do content that brings you up so that you can do even harder content and so on. It goes from doing anything to doing a specific thing. To doing endgame to get even better gear. To doing the master content. But there's no structure. There's no reason. It's too casual and there's no incentive. There's too much incentive on loot and not getting better at the game to take on harder challenges that gives loot that's worth it.

Also from Public event and patrol.

1 ReplyIf you aren't running raids, what you need spoils for?

Plenty of LFG posts exist. Hell I finally found one to complete my ToM catalyst just last week. Get good

Even if they weren’t, you are capable of making a post of your own. Spoils reward raid loot, not dungeon loot. You do not get trials ciphers from playing comp. You do not get spoils from playing dungeons.
-
1 ReplyBruh use the LFG discord for D2. People help out new players all the time I’m almost certain the people that hold the “LFG are elitests” mentality, are people who don’t actually care to do the raids because they refuse to spend more than 2 seconds on LFG looking for help.
-
So run dungeons to get spoils but don’t run raids to spend them Silly idea
-
Its not the elitists causing you the problems.. HAve you posted looking for 5 other new players to learn the raid with? Have you invested time with others of your experience level in the raid? Why do you think you should get to join a raid team asking for experience, KWTD etc over someone with the qualifications? Put in the effort and reap the rewards.
-
Agreed. Please also give me nightfall cyphers from Gambit.
