new power cap increase to 2010
Why?
Why make us grind out pinnacles again?
Look at the feedback throughout the social media platforms. We are all tired of this needless grind at pinnacle engrams. Even worse to do on all 3 characters.
Snap out of it Bungie. The game is dying. And you're making it real difficult to resuscitate at this point...

Sweaty bois needed a reason and bungie caters to sweats before casuals. IMO it’s that mindset that’s hurting this game.

Then there would be no point of pinnacles and they would have to rework that before stoping the power grind

I also hate chasing pinnacles. However the new account based light level has all your characters share your light level. So we only have to do it on one character. Or actually we could do it across all three and that would significantly improve your odds of increasing your light level faster. Which is exactly why i hate it. Because its not a grind. Its a gamble. Which frustrates me

Not really bothered about it coming back. If it gives people who want that something to do then fair play. I wont hit it anyway as I have less time to play these days and even less desire to fire up Destiny after the recent episode and it's pointless story and exotic mission grind. But they froze the power level for good reasons, that they stated openly to a very positive reception, and then bring it back with zero notice apparently for "endgame" players. These players are Bungie's sole focus these days and again, fair play. I am enjoying other games now. And that's the reason for this coming back, most people are walking away and Bungie are desperate to hang on to players. This wont stop most people leaving but might convince some of the so called endgame players to stay so they can bump those engagement metrics up for the next meeting with Sony. Add in that power pretty much means nothing these days what with all the scaling and under leveling and it's just another example of how pointless time spent in this game ultimately is now.

I always looked forward to the levelling up process when a new dlc or season dropped. Then they stopped doing it, and I welcome its return. Why does it matter now anyway? As many people have posted, power level doesn't matter anymore, you're not [b]forced [/b]into doing it, and it happens naturally anyway as you play. And considering that it's very rare that I actually get to play with my clanmates now, it'll give me something to do solo.

Power in this game doesn’t mean sheet anymore. I personally wouldn’t bother with the pinnacle grind.

If you just play literally anything besides patrols you get pinnacles . 2 weekly dungeons, pathfinder, ritual playlist , pathfinder again, seasonal activities , exotic mission , raid. This is a non issue....

6 RepliesBecause players asked for it. I’m not a fan of leveling but it’s only 10 levels on your main and you can use the pass to bump up your other two characters. I’ll do it if it makes a group of players happy.

Bungie isn’t “making” you do anything. We can freely not care about the increase & just do our own things in the game.
