we’ll once more be increasing Power caps by 10 to return that pursuit to end-game players.
~Endgame content is worth pursuing, not 10 levels.
With the new 10th anniversary dungeon coming out, we should also get a raid refresh.
We are long overdue, it's been 1 year & 6 months since we've gotten one last.
- A Vault of Glass refresh would be a great way to start the season because it thematically makes sense with the anniversary dungeon. It already has a master mode with adept weapons, but they aren't enhanceable or craftable currently. Also those guns have severely outdated perk options and really need the refresh.
-Garden of Salvation only makes sense because it is the oldest out of the 2 options. They've got good weapons but don't have a thematic tie in like VoG does currently. It would also benefit greatly with a refresh.
So refresh GoS or VoG, they both need it.
Note: we have gotten a new Dungeon & Raid Refresh before - Look at Ghosts of the Deep & Last wish :)
Extra Note: We also got a loot refresh with Prophecy & and that had Warlord's Ruin shipped inside that season too.
We've seen them refresh old content before, while also delivering big content drops alongside it. Last Wish was meta defining when it got refreshed.
Another reason to refresh these raids is because we will also be getting 2 raids & 2 dungeons featured a week. Therefore making this a relevant topic & an important quality of life update.
And to reiterate, 10 levels is not a permanent investment worth pursuing over actual endgame pursuits.
Don't miss your shot Bungie, there's too much aim assist for that.
Nerd Stuff:
Benefits to Refreshing VoG:
-Craftable Fatebringer
-Our first craftable arc shotgun
-Our first craftable 180 Solar Scout (Treads-upon-stars lovers anyone?)
-A new origin trait (Hoping it could be like Warmind cells but with oracles instead)
Benefits to refreshing GoS
-Our first craftable kinetic 4-burst pulse (potentially replace Blast Furnace)
-Our first craftable 720 void auto (could potentially replace Gnawing Hunger)
-Our first craftable arc shotgun
-A void fusion rifle (this could be our chance to finally get a vorpal weapon fusion rifle that isn't just glaciocasm.)
-A new origin Trait (This one could be anything, probably having to do with being near allies)
2 RepliesEdited by Kouz_MC: 9/24/2024 1:24:00 PMAs a returning player who’s been absent for less than a year, if I didn’t love this game, I’d already have given up. Final shape campaign was nothing special to me. Ascent dissent iconoclasm are just long. Not fun, not immersive, not challenging, just long. The epilogue to this 10y “adventure” was very tasteless to me. Then having to play the same missions again on coop for microcosm makes them worse. The pale heart is very nice and fun to play, overflow is an improvement. Too bad I have yet to meet any human on this destination in ten days of game. Pathfinder sure is an interesting idea, but turns into a boring grind deadlock, and only puts players in path optimization mode. Prismatic is powerful, but extremely limited, insanely restrictive, and very much soulless. Strikes are… battlegrounds. The new strike feels unfinished. Onslaught is not suitable to the game after it’s not fashionable anymore. Hence it turned into a come and go of players grinding power levels, just like any other activity in fine. Having to run old missions or strikes to reach a statue at the very last room of each activity without any purpose but to force new players to buy old content or feel like they had fun spending time playing when they only wasted time playing is very cheap and ominous. The new season campaign is the worst I have ever played on this game, I don’t even understand how episodes can have a price tag at this point, and I feel like in a cheap z-tv series. My point is I’m 1994 including artifact, ten days in, only on one character. I don’t find fun, interesting, or worthy to run the campaign again on my alts, and chasing power level in boring activities is all I have as content for 115 dollars, before I can try the raid. Haven’t touched the dungeon yet. Both exotic missions are just old content we have been grinding for weeks if not months, and brings nothing new or worth chasing. It’s a terrible epilogue to a 10y franchise, in every way shape or form and I really don’t look forward to grinding more power levels again soon.

8 RepliesLol this guy wants more endgame content. Bro there’s 453 legendary weapons in the game. There’s not much left they can do. If you read there dev insights you’d see they are power creeping weapons by enhancing all perks on guns because there aren’t an infinite amount of weapon perks, styles, types. The other options are to wipe the slate clean and remove everything from your inventory and vault or create an entirely new game that is somehow drastically different. Everyone hated RNG. Well when you start giving everyone everything with easy steps you end up with a saturated loot economy. They are in trouble and they know it. Just enjoy what you got until it’s gone in a few years. They don’t have the money or the want to come up with something similar but completely different without re-hashing D2 content. The one solution I can think of right now to give any life is to make a class of items better than Exotic. They are purely RNG from anywhere. Make the drop rate super low but increased slightly higher with harder content. Comes with random rolls. Do it twice a year. Once the new one comes out the other goes away for good. Brings rarity back, creates fomo, gives creators something to do. Endgame content grind is worth it again. Could do 1 gun. 1 armor set. 1 sparrow/board/or something new. 1 ship. Aesthetically they should be amazing. Way better than anything available perk wise.

1 ReplyPlease don't call it the 10th anniversary dungeon, it's a sham. Into the light was originally the 10th anniversary bundle & included icebreaker, they moved everything forward except icebreaker. Icebreaker going into the dungeon is nothing more than saving them creating a new exotic, they're using the gun they reworked last summer. They're even using the emblem logo thing that was created at the same time, a pic of 3 guardians, icebreaker, & a big number 10. This was seen last summer, yet dmg tweeted last week 'we forgot about icebreaker so had an artist quickly throw this together', blatant lies. This sham 10th anniversary quest is all there is, & it's free, icebreaker is absolutely nothing to do with it,it's a month after the quest & is in a paid seasonal dungeon.

11 RepliesNo no no. Stop asking for reprisals and old content. We need new gun models, new guns, new armor models, reasons to grind for said armor, actual new activities, fun strikes, fun exotics, new raids and pinnacle activities.

1 ReplyEdited by Lt_Cantoni: 9/25/2024 2:33:23 AMOrigin trait rewind rounds would be cool it should be called “pretorions foil” in honor of the fusion that never made it in d2

6 RepliesOh my gosh it’s 10 levels

2 RepliesAfter 10 years expecting Bungie to hit their shot now is probably optimistic. Requesting specifics tied to the anniversary at this stage is also probably too late. Bungie are doing what they are going to do now. We are in drowning man thinks he sees a straw territory as players at this stage.

2 RepliesGoS need a heavy weapon added to it too as well as all it's wespons being craftable. Agree with you on refreshing VoG weapons too... long overdue. I'd also like to see giving us back the CV stuff we paid for like PZs and created new ones rather than more boring seasonal repeatables like HBGs and Breach Exec.

2 RepliesI'm all for this . How did Ghost of the Deep get a refresh?
-
2 RepliesPosts like these… on the other hand they say “this ain’t it” but want them to work on/ or bring back old content… No wonder Bungie is lazy and comes up with “power grind” for the new episode…

1 ReplyNice try.

3 Replies10 lvls is cheap, a raid refresh isn't. I can't see a raid refresh bringing lapsed players back or getting anything like the engagement to make that refresh viable. No harm asking though,

10 Repliesi dont see the point in that, we have so many guns but we still use the same ones! Then what if it is just better, if they completely change it and all the guns have awesome perks then i agree with that... but how much do you use guns that have already been reworked? rocket launcher from last wish, machine gun from deep stone (this is the most popular weapon and the rest can be used by someone because they just like it, but no one will take it not meta in end game ... a big mistake of these developers is just a dump of useless weapons as bait so that you do something in pursuit of something that you will never use ... (personally, my opinion) let there be fewer weapons but they will be more effective if they want us to constantly shoot at opponents sponges! in a game about super abilities ... it would be better to have more armor in a futuristic style and not from the Middle Ages ... the reward becomes meaningless and unclaimed if it does not deserve due attention !! oh gali is as strong as we originally intended it to be, but people complain in gambit (which no one needs) that it is easy to kill from it !! nerf nerf nerf ... not fun boring tedious routine people left ...

4 RepliesA lot of people would probably appreciate something like a VoG3. Hopefully in the future there could be multiple reprisals for multiple raids.
