Contest mode dungeon???
Who even asked for this???? This is the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard of. Are you kidding me. This is some lame -blam!- sh!t. This is why you drive a lot of your player base away. Stupid decisions like this that nobody asked for. It’s sad enough you power cap everything now a days now you add a contest mode used for raid day is a horrible idea.

5 RepliesBungie doesn't know their playerbase at all. This contest mode is niche. It caters to streamers and a small percentage of hardcores. The vast majority of the Destiny population won't even attempt this, let alone complete it.

I don’t see a problem with trying something new to know how the majority of players will react and also people who don’t wanna participate you are not forced to play so just chill for a day or two..

What’s wrong with the idea? A contest dungeon could be a fun challenge that’s easier that a raid, and a chance at a cool emblem.

Well, I can't progress the quest that I paid for because of an exotic weapon I don't care to get. The first and only time I did the mission, it was bugged, so I have no desire to do It again. Thanks for the fun experience Bungie.

It's a really bad desperation move by bungie to attempt to bring in a large twitch crowd for marketing reasons. Same thing with raids. A mass majority of the playerbase, even those who interact with the contenst mode itself, do not care for the challenge. They just want to play the shiny new raid or dungeon. Because dungeons get significantly less build up, this will not accomplish what bungie is hoping for and is unlikely to make a comeback for the next dungeon.

They could at least make it optional. But it seems too hard to code an extra button for that in the UI... Way to go, BUNGO.

It’s for the “streamers”. You know inconveniencing 98% of paying customers is the Bungie Way. This is a FU to the regular people looking to get in and play the dungeon on day one. #Fcontestmode
