Choir: Eternal quest - Secret Chest won't complete
As far as I can tell, I've now collected every possible chest in the Encore exotic mission, but the //CHOIR:ETERNAL quest goal "Secret Chest opened" is still not marked as complete.
I've checked multiple articles and videos online identifying how to find each of the 7 chests, and I've definitely completed all of them - many of them multiple times.
The one thing I haven't yet done is complete the mission on Expert setting. And the only other thing that occurs to me is that I didn't start looking for Secret Chests until Week 2 - so I'm wondering whether there's some bug that requires you to have completed it in Week 1 to register as complete.
These are the Exotic Mission: Encore Triumphs currently listed as complete for my Guardian: Bravissimo, Nexus Access, Vector Extension, Hexahedron Hunt, Signal Seeker, Data Deletion, Reflection Detection, Identify Friend/Foe.
Two of the Triumphs are still "Secret" - the one after Vector Extension, and the final one (which I expect covers the temporal anomalies I've yet to look for).
Any help solving this appreciated.

THANK YOU stanbrad47 for finding fix and Lbamfoe for leaving detailed instructions. It seems like the fix is to go through and do every chest for week 1 and only when you finish the last one will you be able to finish the quest. Note: The week 1 encounters won't pop up until you go through the portal in Maya Sundaresh lab. IMPORTANT: Don't interact with the vex on the floor of the lab.

Yeah, I'm in the same situation. I'm so -blam!- sick of everything returning to that mission. There were interesting elements in the beginning. When I'm returning for the 37th time to try to get everything done, I've been done with that mission for a long time by then. And it takes way too long to even get to where you need to go, once you're at the smaller stuff. I'll just have to live without the catalyst, because holy -blam!- I'm not playing it a second more. Bungie if you're reading this: Please do NOT create more mission that become the sole focus. It's lazy, it's not fun, and it gets real boring, real quick.

11 RepliesEdited by Lbamfoe: 9/16/2024 1:43:09 PMI figured out how to fix it based on another comment below by stanbrad47. 1. the 1st chest is the first set of chests (3 total) from Week 1. You get the quest from Banshee in the tower. 2. The first set of chests consists of the chest you get from opening the transit terminal, the chest in the starting area with the 5 plates and the chest from the portal puzzle room that does not have the giant Minotaur boss. Proceed in the mission until you get to the transit terminal room. Access the pillar, complete the puzzle and open the chest. 3. Proceed in the mission until you can get the 2nd yellow module and there is the transit pillar of light. (this is the location with the materials and planetoid assimilation piston). 4. Open the portal by accessing the transit terminal but do not go into the portal. 5. Proceed up the floating pillar. 6. Beat the First Boss (Duo fight). 7. Proceed through Jungle. 8. Get to Maya's workshop (room before final Boss). Do not interact with the robot on the floor. 9. Open the transit terminal portal. 10. Go into the portal. Proceed directly forward to the portal on the other side of the room. You will now be in the Week 1 version of the portal puzzle room. You will know if you did this correctly because there will not be a giant Minotaur boss in the middle of the room. 11. Complete the puzzle. This is the 2nd chest of the 3 in the first set from Week 1. 12. Use the portal to go back to the starting area. 13. Complete the puzzle with the 5 plates. This is the 3rd chest in the first set from Week 1. You will get the catalyst if you have already completed the Encore Expert Mission. If not, you can finish the mission and then complete Encore Expert.

2 RepliesI've done it on expert at least 3 times - gotten everything but the chest. Always empty. Done all the anomalies and collectibles. Really annoying. Especially when every new quest has you do the Whole mission all over again. Very tiresome.
