I’ve been playing Destiny since my brother (a former Bungie employee) let me start playing his pre-alpha build after work in 2012. It was even more barebones than vanilla D1 at the time, but there was so much passion poured into it that I instantly fell in love with being a guardian from that day.
That said, I’ve spent the last month trying out other video games and putting my D2 time into personal projects, and my quality of life has significantly improved. I can play a match of literally any game in the time that it takes me to go back and forth between the helm and some destination over and over.
The fun parts of this game are great. And I don’t mind spending my time grinding copiously for something cool. But there’s just.… so…. much…. JUNK that is obviously meant to eat up your time and keep you preoccupied with the game.
So thank you to everyone who made this game great (devs and fans alike). I’m 25 years old and I’ve been playing Destiny since I was 12.
I have both given and lost so much time in defense of The Last City, but now I leave the Tower’s sunsets for a wider horizon.
The future of Sol is in your hands, whoever reads this.
Goodbye.

Lots of luck, on your future video game journey. I also said Goodbye a few weeks ago, and reduced my time, here, but it's also more difficult to say goodbye permanently than I thought it would be. Take care, and have fun!
