If you are like me and read the forums daily, no doubt you've read the literal hundreds of topics about the Exotic Class Items not being obtainable solo.
And, maybe, like me, you are kinda tired of seeing the same complaints over and over.
Bungie added them to Xur, but it wasn't far enough for some.
My idea is thus: let Xur sell it to those who have yet to complete Dual Destiny, but with a catch.
- The Final Shape campaign must be completed, including all post campaign adventures and Excision completed at least once.
- The Dual Destiny mission must be UNLOCKED.
- For those who haven't completed Dual Destiny, Xur will sell the class item ONCE per week per character of the same class, at the max amount Strange Coins one can carry.
- In order to get more than one per week at the discounted/current rate, Dual Destiny must be completed on the character(s) you wish to buy multiple class items on.
- Buying the class item from Xur prior to getting it from Dual Destiny wouldn't unlock the feature of getting it from Overthrows. You still have to complete Dual Destiny at least once to access this feature.
This solution keeps the Class Items somewhat rare and hard to obtain, doesn't put down those who have already done the mission, and still encourages people to actually do the mission to be able to farm the Exotic Class items or obtain them more cheaply from Xur.
The only potential downside to this I see is people with time on their hands would farm the heck out of strange coins, but I think the limit of one a week per time Xur actually sells it would be more than enough to offset this.

Or they can just run the mission. Less typing and more playing is the way.
-
Or, hear me out. People can just run the mission one time.

3 RepliesNothing will satisfy the players refusing to run the mission short of having Banshee sell the Exotic for some Glimmer and maybe a few Enhancement Cores and at this point, I'm all for it just to put an end to the stupid posts. There'll just be something else afterward for people to complain about, but that can't be stopped.

The hundreds of posts youre seeing are coming from 1 guy. Theres 1 guy who posts every couple days complaining about it. Everyone who complains on here has been offered help, they dont take it. They want to complain more than they want the item. 72.2222...% of players who have access to unlock the mission have finished the mission.

Nah an actual solution is to complete the mission.

2 RepliesNope. Why you wanna jump through different hoops? Just do the mission [b]ONE[b] stinkin time and you never have to touch it again if you don't wanna.
