Just earlier today, the Destiny social media account [url=https://twitter.com/Destiny2Team/status/1829549654905671965]tweeted that[/url] the error on August 13th that caused numerous name changes was resolved, and that a new name-change token has been issued to all accounts. My original username was caught up in this filter, changed from "glamdring804" to "Guardian2227." Back on the 13th, I was very confused as to why, and since I had not used my previous name change token, I experimented around trying to figure out *why* my name was filtered. I was able to change my name to "Glam_dring804," which was an improvement over "Guardian2227" but still not my username. After that I waited for the fix that Bungie indicated was in the pipeline. Fast-forward to today, and the page still refuses to take my original username. It stubbornly remains "Glam_dring804" despite my efforts to change it, as shown in the linked video. This is incredibly frustrating and demoralizing. I just want my username back. "Glamdring804" is the username I use for all my public social medias. It doesn't violate any of the naming guidelines; it's a sword from the Tolkien legendarium. Why does the filter refuse to accept it? I'd like my name back please.
