Xur should have "actual" exotics.
Remember in D1 when Xur actually had exotics that were rare. Like Gally. Now, Xur never has anything exciting that can't just be had from any random exotic or bought with a cipher. Bring back cool exotics from missions/dungeons/raids etc. Even if they're only available after a 6-month launch window or something. I dunno, he's here every weekend and everytime is a total snoozefest.

I have more fun spending strange coins for exotic class item rolls than I do farming the pale heart. That he can do that is as good as having powerful weapons. Also if it costs Cyphers to buy it it’s not like they are being “handed out to everyone without effort” I haven’t been interested in a weapon from Xur in four years or more but his other wares keep me coming back. If you want an easy button on Xur to get raid weapons that’s whack, pure whack like holy smokes I couldn’t think of a worse way to get engagement to become even worse than selling raid exotics or dungeon exotics from Xur. I’m sorry you don’t like how he is but you don’t have to deal with him and if you are unhappy with his wares get others elsewhere. Does the Acheron cause your boat to rust when you’re off shore paddling in circles?

Anyway, not all the exotics but a few were random drops like Ghorn. The difference between Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 is that there was a variety of options in Destiny 1 to have a chance to obtain certain exotics. In Destiny 2 you are limited and controlled on what activities to run to obtain a lot of the exotics. I prefer the Destiny 1 loot system because it was more of an incentive to run the activities compared to being stuck running 1 activity in Destiny 2 hundreds of times which is the most boring loot system in gaming. As far as Xur goes, yes, Xur should sell some newer exotics, but the problem is this business nerfs every -blam!- thing in this game. Edit: Just for the hell of it a a couple of minutes ago I went to Xur which is at the tower. I scroll over Stoicism and see I don't have the item, and the first thought that came to me is WTF would I buy it from Xur if I already obtained the item that will have better states? Oh, that's right, waste a gamer's time on their rigged RNG lying to the player base that this "will be much better". On top of it, what is with the BS that has been going on for a decade now that if you run a nightfall you end up with a lot of the same exotics that are sold by Xur? This is the BS why people are fed up with this business, they don't know how to design a proper loot system.

I would like him to sell the Exotic Armor that normally requires Ciphers. As a collector it takes forever on all three classes. The guns that are tied to a quest, Dungeon or Raid I don’t feel like he needs to sell

Xur never sold exotic weapons from missions, dungeons, or raids. He has only sold world drops weapons. No reason to kill the incentives of running activities.

3 RepliesThe problem is people complained about the loot grind from D1. So now we inherently have systems that make exotics easier to get and the crafting system that devalue the loot. They should have never changed it. I remember grinding days for a hopscotch pilgrim and when I dropped a 4/5 roll it never left my side for crucible. And it's the gun I remember most.

1 ReplyIn d1 xur also wasn't as valued as more players obtained gear. For every exciting week we had a bunch of meh weeks. Bro fell off hard in year 3 of d1. It's more of a consequence of how old d2 is now and that most people have all the world drop exotics.

Xur sold Gally on week 1 or 2. I bought it only because it looked cool as hell. I then received one at the end of a crucible match. I had no idea what was to come. Oddly enough. As powerful as that weapon was, they did not nerf it into the ground ala Co1. They only killed it by sunsetting it. The one that was nerfed into the ground was the Vex Mythoclast, in both PVP and PVE. Think about that and look at my comment above. How many BUNGLE mistakes are there?

The issue is not that Xur sells low interest exotics. The issue is that Exotic engrams drop like candy from the game for weekly activities, thus removing the rarity from all world drop exotics, or excitement for them.

Xur sold gjally like 3 times. Secondly, you guys know how bungie hates players who don't play 20 hours a day? And hates casual players. Yeah, they accidentally left Xur in tbe game for the casual and new player to have a faster track to exotics. Don't worry it was probably a mistake and they'll remove
