Anybody else feeling like destiny is deliberately killing itself?
Layoffs, continual bad updates/ patches, and they never learn from their mistakes. This has to be a deliberate suicide

Nerfs across PvP and PvE, cooldowns, and stealth nerfs. Disabled artifact mods, disabled fragments.. all in pursuit of slowing and crippling our builds... Not what the Devs had in mind when they where making and testing, or the testers are just us.

I think the complete opposite. Toxic players are leaving in droves. The game is starting the process of healing itself. This time next year the game will peak again or be on the cusp of it.

The huge difference is where they were back then compared to now. A lot of the poor decisions for the game were because of upper management and the CEO is a prime example of what is wrong with the business/game. This business has had more help than any other business in gaming that I have heard of, yet look at the poor state the game is in. Activision/blizzard, NetEase, Microsft, Sony, High Moon, and Vicarious Vision. All of them tried to help this business in certain aspects of this game, and they ignored it. Billions were spent on them and this is what they have to show for it. Sorry, not sorry, Destiny is nothing to brag about no matter how many fake TWID this business posts to try to sound good or how the defenders will lie and post that the "game is in a good place". Get rid of the problem that is these people running the game, and maybe the game might have a chance to improve. To all the defenders, as a business with that much backup and still, they managed not to learn a damn thing after a decade. Just stop, stop pretending the game is in a good place just because "you like playing it", and using that excus when reality shows the truth about this business's actions and their poor decisions that are glaring throughout the entire game/business.

Story for me. I personally am just not interested in ANY love relationship in Destiny being explored thoroughly onscreen. * It's simply not what I come to Destiny for at all sorry

I don't know, I like the game how it is rn, minus the whole requiring ps+ for online play even tho PlayStation owns Bungie. I also just started the game so it's not stale to me but that's probably going to change pretty fast from what I'm hearing

4 RepliesThey admitted D3 was never even started, and have stated for the future they intend to embrace the train delivery/small seasonal content and grinds as the only content. They literally made no real plans for the franchise after TFS except ten minutes of story per week and endless grind. This doesn’t sound like they expect D2 to keep going after Marathon. Probably finish out the three episodes, drop the D1 raid, then Bungie will announce D2 is going the D1 route, lay-off everyone after Marathon tanks and all the executives take their giant Sony bonuses and call it a day. I just hope Sony hires some people from the team, hands them the Tiger engine and lets them cook.

It definitely feels that way. These guys in management just don't get it. It's just mind-boggling, honestly. Even some other the devs kinda irk me like the sandbox guys put out some changes that honestly make no sense. Nerfs that kill things instead of bringing them in line, reworks that really do nothing. I really want Sony to get in there and really take over because even though they could make the game far worse, at least there is excitement in knowing that things could get better. And if not? Well... I couldn't care less. If the game died, good riddance.

No. Just mismanagement….and a changing culture. Many video game developers are run by people who have no training in running businesses of this size and complexity. So they get in over their heads and drown. The same thing happened over at BioWare and it destroyed what were two promising IP ideas: Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem. As for misconduct? Thats not just Bungie. I have stories of things I saw people say and do in the workplace back in the 90s that would make your hair stand on end. Some people are just toxic and see power as a license to do as they please. Because they feel that power excuses them from rules and accountability. But we have become a society that is far less tolerant of such abuses of power…and for the most part that is progress.

The issue I have with Bungie trying to kill Destiny is the potential. There is SO MUCH POTENTIAL for a Destiny 3 but they don't want to do it.
