New exotic mission bug?
Without going into details the final boss’s crystal that takes its barrier down isn’t spawning once the shock barriers have spawned. Making it impossible to do damage and soft locking the encounter.

Happens to me also. Sometimes it happens before the barriers spawn in. I haven't been able to finish solo because of this bug. With a full team you can kill the boss so fast the bug doesn't get a chance to ruin the mission.

I just encountered the same issue. Happens when the red barriers come up and I've done 50% damage to the boss. Wiping and restarting does not help. If this is really about raw damage done, you are making this too difficult on solo players. This completely locks me out of doing anything in Act III. Can you just credit my account with having finished the quest, apply the final chest to my inventory and let me continue with Act III ?

have the same problem , running solo, after 1st damage phase, the shield drop nodes dont spawn, wiping twice did not reset it

4 RepliesOh for jebus sake. I came here to see if this was a bug. Doing it solo and having the same issue. Pretty crap this happening in an area where there's a puzzle element too. Been jumping around for ages trying to understand what I'd done wrong. Now I know I've done nothing wrong, it's just the next bungie foul up

Edit: Just fyi, I just wiped (just die, don’t restart) and did it again. Did a whole lot of damage to boss during first phase and it was all good. But yeah, don’t waste time trying to figure out the puzzle mechanics if the boss just sits there, just go all-in during first damage phase.

yupp. Same here (solo), i was ready for final 3rd phase, and no "crystal" :( I think we all have to "git-good" and smash him in ONE PHASE

1 ReplyI had it too. And I think I have figured out a workaround. Usually, at first, there is no bug. The issue can occurs on the 2nd, 3rd or more crystal. WHat I do is "Never kill a cyclop with the plate activated". For example at first the cyclop appears on the right, you kill it then activate the plate with the connector. Then you activate the circle, shoot the crystal and DPS the boss. After that you continue the same pattern but always retrieve the connector on the plate on the same side of the Cyclop before killing the cyclop. Then Kill it, install the connector to make the plate appear, activate the circle .... and so on. I have tested it and so far it worked for me 100% (solo and with a team).

I'm doing this solo and having the same issue. I've done left side then right, right then left, and it's still just not spawning the crit spot.
