I just wanted a taste of what it was like. I get they give people like 2-3 weeks to finish things up, but not going to lie, that grind just isn’t worth it.
It’s to the point where I would consider it way too grindy. Either way, I have the ornaments version so that’s an easy grab.
(Bungie maybe make it less grindy next time by idk cutting everything is half put keeping the same bounties
OR
come up with something fresh and switching it out every other year.)

Really wasnt a grind i got all the glows playing a few hours over 3 or 4 days

I actually skipped it. I just couldn't be bothered with rng bounties. And a terrible drop rate for the currency to reset them. It's really one of the worst ways solstice has ever been implemented. It also means I didn't get the title. And there is no point in doing it next year if it isn't the maxed gilding for me. Same for GG. The events are trying to hard to be grindy and ruining the little fun they offer.

The grind was stupid, at least make the events worth the player time by adding artifice armour once the challenges have been completed.

If they would have just reduced the bow drop rate in Bonfire bash and made bash a little faster it would have been better. I barely got all my god rolls in time for the event to end. Weapon focusing would have been nice too. Otherwise the event was horrible

WORST event to date! The grind was insane and for what 10,000 bows (based on others complaints not my experience) and for seriously ugly, in my opinion, armor. And the glow, wait it was ONLY a white glow! If you wanted to subclass glows (which lacked in its sub-class coverage!) you had to pay for it this time. So I got the armor on my Warlock and then simply said this is beyond stupid, all those bounties just to get the points to run Bonfire to get the armor. [u][b]Yep I will not be running any more events based on this horrid model.[/b][/u]

“To much of anything is not good for you” The grind was real! Absolutely agree it was too much after getting 100 on each armour from the bounties then another part pops up about ingots I was DONE , no more I no life one playlist I half didnt enjoy for the momento cos I have no idea as the game don’t explain how to actually earn one I was guessing either random drop or end of the quest? Well none dropped from doing 100 on all armour pieces I was board out my face and just wanted to go bed after. So didn’t actually finish the whole quest. No momento, But I at least got the roll I wanted on the hand cannon and shot gun!

Other than the points needed to unlock the armor being far too much, it wasn't overly grind heavy in my opinion. I had far more issue with the rehashed activity which did not change in any way from last year, including the same exact voice lines. There is zero passion to be seen in these events, which is very sad to see. I can already guarantee exactly how Festival of the Lost is going to go.

I hear ya. I only did one character. Bought the ornaments for 1 different character. And farmed the weapons. Got some pretty good rolls too.

There should have been some catch-up mechanic for our other characters depending on how many other characters we have the glow for. Like reducing the needed armor alloys for each quest or increasing the amount earned from bounties. I immediately stopped engaging with the event after two days when I got the glow on my main character.

Did not like. Finished two characters and got burned out doing so. Weapons seem weak even on god rolls. Forge armor system was an interesting new mechanic but a big failure due to bounty system. Grind, flaky point system, half points when glow gained, re-roll multiple time, silver leave drops low, and grind, and grind, and grind. Bonfires event was stupidly simple with excessive drops to the point of exact duplicate mods. Only saving grace was the high stat armor rolls once glow gained.

The fact that they knew there was a drop issue and did nothing to even try to mitigate the imbalance of the bow compared to the other weapons tells you alot. THey clearly didn't test the drop rate prior to shipping. They don't really test anything adn in limited timed events, that just isn't acceptable. Bungie has dug a big deep hole and I don't think they can do anything to get out of it.

I did one character. Had the armor itself in a couple days. After that I kinda lost interest till the weekends. Wasn’t bad but there are better things to do than play video games all day.

Weapons are great and they were easy to get this time. Armor not so much but it’s meant for newbs.
