It ridiculous how no one at Bungie has play tested this super. Literally no counter to it, has a ridiculous AOE and did I mention you can use it 3 TIMES IN A ROW! The stats show that most PvP players are hunters and using Storms Edge. If a warlock or Titan got a broken ability it was nerfed or disabled withing 24 hours but when it comes to Hunters it's like they are the golden child.
It's crazy how much Bungie favour Hunters.

It's a SUPER FFS.

Silly Guardian. They favour Warlocks over anything...gosh
-
3 Repliesno it doesn’t, you can literally kill one as it’s teleporting pretty easily. the super is actually one of the most balanced parts of the whole subclass.
-
3 RepliesThe counter is vertical movement, storm’s edge has a small vertical hitbox. There’s also a little bit under a half second delay between the storm’s edge throw and the teleport, so if you’re paying attention, you can avoid it. I mean it’s not likely you’re gonna avoid all 3 twirls, but it’s a super. If someone decides they wanna use their entire super on you, it’s probably gonna kill no matter what it is

1 ReplyYou can get knocked out of consistently. Try jumping straight up. If you get hit with the knife that’s a whole different story.

Sometimes you don't teleport. If you use it in Mayhem you get Otter errors. You can hover or run around a hard angle. Bungie doesn't favor Hunters. The COMMUNITY does.

1 ReplyCounter=shoot Hunter during animation, it has zero damage resistance and lasts an eternity I even have been flinched out of it and it took my entire super bar

"Literally no counter to it" is hilarious. You can literally just shoot them out of the air, midcast.

Edited by JeremyRules5: 8/25/2024 9:11:30 PMIt's only logical as most players already want to play a hunter (in pvp). To keep the player populatian up, you best favour the hunter. We dont want them to quit. ;-) But playing this game for a very long time, yeah they tested it and they know. As they also tested the titan was op. And then they nerfed every usefull exotic armor. Just be patient and take that 5 minutes suspension when it gets to much...

it goes through walls.. and if you are in any area where you can't jump above it you're a goner... but I would rather they focus on the abilities.. as all supers are pretty annoying in general -
What’s OP about having 3 teleporting thunder crashes? 🤣
-
7 RepliesThey acknowledged how broken it would "probably" be in PVP before prismatic dropped. Why they thought it was a good idea is beyond me. They basically looked at Thundercrash and said "Lets do that on steroids!" Thundercrash was already a problem on its own, now you want to add steroids? SMH. A good nerf would be: Remove the teleportation aspect altogether in favor of making it "Arc Spear". This super would fire similarly to the old void 2.0 Moebius Quiver, but would instead throw spears that basically call Storm grenades on impact which jolt targets. They'd even get an exotic that functions like Orpheus Rig used to for MQ.

I will say, it is tricky to learn how to aim it. Which is why I just use shadow shot on prismatic.
