Please Bungie!!! We need a weapons update.
Recently I have discovered a new weapons problem. Certain elemental weapons always require a specific perk, like how Incandescent is highly sought after on Solar weapons. My suggestion, completely remove the following perks from the game and build them into the weapons themselves. This would allow us to have even more perk options to choose from, further adding more variety into our gameplay.
• Incandescent (and/or Heal Clip) - put into all Solar weapons for that explosive fantasy we all seek.
• Voltshot (and/or Eddy Current) - a great perk, meant to add jolt to your next few shots from reloading after a kill. A fantastic arc loop for all Arc weapons.
• Destabilizing Rounds (and/or Repulsor Brace) - when I pick up a Void weapon and see that little purple swirl symbol, I want to see that on the battlefield. Let all of my Void weapon kills create a volatile explosion.
• Chill Clip (and/or Headstone) - if I'm using ammunition of the darkness itself it should 100% send a shiver down my opponent's spine. Add this chilling effect to all my Stasis weapons.
• Slice (and/or Hatchling) - ammo woven from the spaces around us should be able to inflict its effects as I'm sending rounds towards my enemy, wrapping them in very thin strings leaving minor severing cuts. Let Strand take advantage of the fact that it is indeed everywhere.

Bad idea.

Remember when we could change elements on our legendary weapons? Maybe bring that back, but also let us turn non-Power ammo weapons kinetic/Stasis/Strand.

I have some ideas and have been planning on making a massive post about this and crafting for the past week or 2. If you've played Defiance, then you'll have an idea what I'm thinking about.

This would honestly be amazing. Something to go with it would be a stat difference based on element. Kinetic could be an all rounder. Solar could be built more for damage, but has slower reload. Arc are fast firing archtypes with just as fast reloads but slightly lower damage. Void are slower fire rate, but better accuracy and a bit higher damage than Arc. Stasis could have the slowest, but that matches with the slowing effect and the fact it can cause both freeze and shatter (basically to make any of those PvP players that hate Stasis a bit happy at least). Strand would be a near all rounder with about the same damage value as Arc so as to be a form of a support almost because of their damage changing effects like Sever and Woven Mail. These are just thoughts I had when you brought up those effects as a slight form of balance between them. I would say however that Hatchling being built into weapons is something I think wouldn't be that good. The Hatchling perk I feel is already fine and we have the Salvation's Edge exotic for Hatchling but with only dealing damage instead of requiring kills.

What is this Anthem?

I'd rather get good traits that could rival them. Building them into the weapons is a horrible idea. That sounds like without random rolls to me.

6 RepliesI like it but don't see it flying in PvP and as we know, if it doesn't fly there it doesn't fly at all; or it gets the nerf.

What about kinetic

I kind of had the same idea. But instead just give you better bonuses when you match a weapon type with a subclass of the same damage.
