What is the point of Daybreak, now that Song of Flame exists?
Song of Flame is just a better version of Daybreak in every way. Is Daybreak gonna get any buffs or a rework, to make it a real super that's worth ever using even once in the game?

I think song of flame is lazy design. The only reason its better is because the damage is better. After a year or so, they will nerf it.

Daybreak used to last forever, back in forsaken. Was a great super then , has had its uses since.. but yeah, I would agree, doesn't cut the mustard anymore!! Although, the aerial game is unrivalled still.

I wondered this too and came to the conclusion that the difference is you can fly with dawn break. I suppose they could combine dawn break and we'll into 1 super. Activating your super starts as dawn break, but if you hold both triggers while dawn break is active you plant your sword and form a well of radiance. This would be an interesting way to buff both supers since you could run around with your add clear super than just before it runs out, make a well of radiance.

I only use it, too super fly with icarus dash and a sword. You can get surprisingly far, like the free chest section at Morgeth or the ship jumping section in Kings fall. This is mainly because I'm on console and can't well skate, I've tried but just can't pull it off.

2 RepliesI use it on lower level content because I find song of flame very boring to use. I’d love a dawnblade buff though because that was one of my favourite supers before TFS dropped.

Day break can still dish out some good DPS with dawn chorus…. But… yeah you’re right. PVE wise, its power crept out.

I am wondering if they will use the three new light supers, to replace one of the others in the same subclass.

Daybreak was great for zooming around the outside of the Tower in the Zero Hour mission to help with the timer, so it does have that going for it. The aerial part in addition to the faster projectiles is usually what defines it, in my opinion. They could lean into it more but without an ability to rise higher I don't know how they could add to it.

Temporary and unlimited icarus dash, whether for well-skating or getting 'free' raid gear solo in GoS or LW raids.
