The feedback loop is locked in to non-representative atypical players with vested interests. Too much is made to take from the game in order to feed YouTube. Matchmaking or soloplaying is being catastrophically penalised, or outright removed or not provided. Casual gamers are also penalised. New Lights continue to have terrible on-boarding. The flip-flop to a "woke" ethos into the game continues to be excessive and unwanted by many. See Asmongold's overview on the state of games https://youtu.be/hgTHvx2J-aY Episodes are just Seasons-lite. Layoffs are demoralising internally and externally will further reduce agility and content. No Destiny 3 in the works really exposes the age of this game as it has to continue to be endlessly repatched for it to try to keep up. Gambit - a former key replayable activity is left for dead. Crucible has fundamentally never outgrown it's D2 day1 Shotgun+Hand-cannon+Hunter meta. Finally, the competition, whilst not being "Destiny killers" is high enough to warrant jumping ship. The FS feels like a closure point. Is it dead or dying? Nope. But it's not great. I can only see it declining further then limping along at a base level. Still. There's always new cars to buy out there, so no need for glum faces.
