You almost had me back in the game with Xur
Offering the class item got me hyped, but I have yet to even do the mission and it says it must be acquired on each character before it's available at Xur....well not returning now. Should make it so everyone can get it but it costs 99 coins. And they are randomly rolled anyway so odds of getting that you want are atrocious anyway.

7 RepliesAs a new player to Destiny 2, who has solo flawless and speed running aspirations outside of PVP.. I totally feel where your coming from. I 100% would have quit if I didnt randomly run into some random nice elite player i met in match making who helped me through DD. The raid style (which is akin to Dual Destiny in a few ways) of this game is so unfun. It's crazy how its so popular.

Who made you and everyone else so special ? It's a 20-30 mins mission FFS. You only need a mix to say "grief, black garden and pray" or read a time dial. I have autism among other issues. I don't leave the house alone or talk to people but I still got the class item because I wanted it. There is always a way, or always people willing to help others. Crying on a forum and screaming to be handed things because you "purchased the dlc". No, you purchased to play the dlc.

If the class item is the only reason you’ll play the game then you probably should find other games anyway.

9 RepliesI hate these types of unmarked missions, I was lucky to get khvostov and the class item simply because my friend was kind enough to carry me through it and it doesn’t help the in game LFG sucks. The whole “secret missions are cool because they’re secret” concept is very annoying like if you want the mission to be a secret just don’t track it.

It does nearly nothing to help. Still RNG on both perks, and this requires a currency you get from the playlists they have barely updated in years, of which they get complaints about. If there were only 10 or 15 combos, if i only played 1 class, or if strange coins dropped from every activity, fine. As it stands, it's a lotto even I won't entertain anymore for the time invested to pull the lever. I collected probably 60 or so before I stopped bothering. None of which, for any class, were a 2/2. Of those, there are a few 1/2's that are usable, but not optimal. Until there's a way to target at least 1 perk, these class items are dead to me.

1 ReplyThe fall of Destiny 2 needs to be taught in game dev conferences for decades to come. It is truly astounding how a company turned their GotY ^^ The Final Shape ^^ contender into a desolate wasteland in just 2 months. That first month was truly magical and we're never getting it back.

At this point it's obvious that the people left at Bungie are intellectually damaged... And that is being nice about it. I mean really... On "some" occasions you will be able to buy one more chance at a good roll IF you do the mission that exemplifies Bungie's bait and switch advertising which is indicative of the attitude at Bungie that caused them to lose their jobs, lose billions of dollars, and lose at least half of the playerbase. Honestly, every time Sony cleans out more of the Bungie employee pool it greatly amuses me. And that is because every person in charge of this game is guilty of deceptive advertising and immoral business practices.

Cost is 41 strange coins and be a random roll. Still no word on dupe protection so the 1:64 per character is still in play and the limit is 1 PER ACCOUNT! Bungie needs educating on the proportionality of a reward in terms of attractiveness. Or better yet, they can just fix the damn drop rate they broke when making it more generous.

Now I am grinding another game where they actually care about the players. And for you get gutters, I did try the mission, it was nice but did complete due to lack of time. So be gone with your advice.

2 RepliesTo those that say use LFG to unlock please realize that this Exotic quest is typically empty of guardians looking or joining the groups. The big reason is the random drops after one complete. Complete once and done. Training a newbie to complete can take hours. Both players must participate and talk in same language to complete. Lastly task is timed. Friends or randos must want to help. Glad some find it fun. Just not seeing anyone volunteering. Step up for once.

5 RepliesAs usual, rather than catering to the majority, Bungie would rather pander to the minority. All those who defended that the activity was annoying to get into, the drops were too limited and the combinations too random suddenly decided that they were issues after all and Bungo just rolled over and exposed their bellies again. You've only got to look at yesterday's YouTube postings to see that the content creators are positively soiling themselves in excitement over this (something which has historically signalled massive downturns in the player population in the months that followed). Oh, and it turns out that while it's the same SC cost as a normal exotic, it's still a random roll and limited to one per account per week, so it's STILL a -blam!--punch even to that minority! Meanwhile, thousands of players have unwarranted name changes and players have builds that simply don't work anymore because Bungie seem to abjectly refuse to test anything out before they deploy it. Right now, the best change Bungie could make is to the language filter on this forum and that rather than just changing any offensive word to '-BLAM!' it changes the phrase 'We're listening' to 'We just don't give a f*ck anymore'...

2 RepliesThe mission is not all that hard. While it does require communication, so long as that communication is clear, the mission is rather easy. Familiarity with the symbols, clock call outs, etc certainly helps, but that’s all learnable and hinges on your own knowledge and not the opponents, until you of course play the activity with them. Still, there is such a large population of players, even in said activity, that you’ll more than likely find a good player sooner rather than later. In the end, the activity is not nearly hard enough nor mechanically challenging enough to warrant complaint.

1 ReplyI love how bungie is acting like it’s a huge W for the players. In no way did they listen to the people’s feedback. This still screws over every person who can’t or won’t do the mission either because they don’t have a mic, they are too nervous to play and voice chat with others or, in my girlfriend’s case, she’s a mute. Thanks as always bungie for shafting the majority of your player base to cater to the minority streamers who give you free advertising.

33 RepliesHonestly at this point? If you are one of those players complaining about having to do the mission then just stop playing, seriously. Since the complaints are about having to just play the game then obviously you don't enjoy playing the game otherwise you'd not be complaining about having to play it. Its not even like you have to play the mission a bunch of times as you only have to play it [b]once[/b] and then consecutive runs are optional.
