The following is purely optional for people to do, and many have probably realized the same, but I decided to make a thread about it to share the idea since it might be my plan for future Episodes:
With the new Episode format, the Season Passes have a level cap - Level 100 for Act 1, 150 for Act 2, and 200 for Act 3. XP still counts for increasing Artifact Power Bonuses, For some, it probably gives an incentive to bounty prep for each Act of an Episode for that quick boost at the beginning of each new Act, but that is entirely optional.
But the Seasonal Challenges now offer a new avenue of storing up XP, and you can complete them just through regular gameplay. Before now, most would probably complete them for XP and the Bright Dust they give automatically, especially the Large Bright Dust award at the end of the season. I admit that Bright Dust was my major incentive for doing them.
Now, there is an incentive to save them, especially the XP +++ Challenges, given their XP values are the following:
Challenger XP (25,000 XP)
Challenger XP+ (50,000 XP)
Challenger XP++ (100,000 XP)
Challenger XP+++ (200,000 XP)
Even the regular XP Challenges are more than double Weekly Bounties. Paired with the doubled XP gains at the start of a week, Blinding Light, and the XP boosts, saving Seasonal Challenges can afford rapid progress through the Act 2 and 3 sections of the Season Pass for future Episodes, and lessen the gameplay time and work required to complete the Season Pass in each Act.

The thread is two weeks old, but now that the new Act has come and I've turned in all the Seasonal Challenges I saved up, I can say it was a resounding success. I had enough Challenges stored up to instantly complete the Act 3 Season Pass when I turned them all in. No bounty hoarding was necessary, so I recommend this strategy for future episodes for anyone who wants to complete future Act 2 and 3 Season Passes quickly.

1 ReplyA bit outdated already as they already announced all 3 acts will be dropping at once in future episodes....

1 ReplyI saved my challenges after gitting 100 in act 1 until act 2, and with just the few I had, it got me within 20 levels of finishing the act 2 part of the pass. But yeah, I fully agree that saving the challenges unless someone really wants the bright engrams instead is definitely worth it if you just want to complete the next parts of the pass quickly
