Yeah quitter penalties are going to keep people playing your game….
Maybe fix the cause for people quitting your game modes rather than punishing them for having to tolerate your incompetence.

1 Replythe biggest problem with quitter penalties is it punishes innocent people. there is story after story about people getting suspensions by getting disconnected. if the game can not tell the difference between a legitimate disconnect and a quitter than don't have the penalties.

I got a 24 hour ban after getting error coded from a trials match at which point I didn’t even play for the entire weekend and no I didn’t leave any other matches which is why I was confused as hell

I just want to know exactly when I can leave without a penalty cuz I left a game after it was over score was done; saw my kda and left and still got a warning

It is, and always has been a bad idea, and yes, the main underlying issues should be fixed, however I would be OK if Bungie made at least the most basic of changes: - Give me an option to pick 3 maps I do NOT want to play on, and either do not penalise me for leaving those 3, or do not put me in those - Give me an option to say I do NOT want to join games in progress, or do not penalise me for leaving one - Either do not put me into a game or do not penalise me for leaving a game if the map is the same I have played twice already in the last 10 games - Do not double penalise me for leaving the same game you put me back in - Do not penalise me for leaving a game after being mercy-d twice in a row ^ These are all easy things to implement. Well, much easier than "fix the matchmaking", I agree that that would be the ideal case, but it's not something that they can do.. clearly, since they haven't been able to for 10 years...
