I tried to run a second campaign
My mind and body just couldn't do it. Giving props to all who ran this campaign with all three characters

Playing the campaign for the second time on Legendary, solo, was a lot easier because of the practice I had with the first run. But that didn't make it better, the level of frustration is simply too high and can be demotivating. I'm on the final boss checkpoint of Iconoclasm right now, and I'm not in the mood to do this. With the campaigns of The Witch Queen and Lightfall it was different for me, even with the same setting.

1 ReplyI ran it on my Hunter and didn’t mind it all that much, I thought it was kind of boring. Just a lot of Cayde and Zavala and Crow sitting around a fire and whining and talking about their feelings. Highlight was the cutscenes which looked incredible. Ran it on my Titan and could barely stand the amount of blathering, then talking to your ghost, then listening to a radio, rinse & repeat. I didn’t even actually finish it, I just did it until I got Shiver Strike. After going through the hellfire that was the Micah-10 quests, there’s no way I can stomach another campaign on my Warlock.

One thing that helps is running the peregrine titan build if you’re running a Titan. It’s such an lol fest that it made it bearable. That being.. I’m only doing 1 adventure max haha

1 ReplyIt's just a bad campaign. Sad that TFS is Bungie's absolute best effort they could make with their jobs on the line. And they really thought that paying for reviews would keep people playing a bad DLC. Too bad, really. The Pale Heart looks fantastic... If only it wasn't a boring snoozefest with a thousand boring patrols, chests, encounters, and one boring event.

1 ReplyI didn't play during lightfall year, but came back a week before final shape dropped. Ran all of legendary lightfall on all three guardians, plus most of the other stuff included in the dlc not including the raids. Then ran legendary final shape on all three. Acquired exotics, grinding out all the subclass crap etc. I've only kept up with echoes and pinnacle grind on my warlock. I felt so exhausted by this point I just couldn't do it on any more. I still haven't touched dual destiny, dungeons or raids yet. I refuse to do the solstice crap again. This game is both physically and emotionally exhausting. It's the reason I stayed away for a year.

I did 1 on legend and 2 on easy... Although a touch boring, you can literally punch everything to death if you do the smallest amount of levelling up.

the worst mission in the game so far I just bought final shape is the sword mission queens part 1 where you have to deflect fire from shreikers and knights. i was doing it for like an hour and half when some finish it in 18 minutes. that was like trying to clean a toilet bowl with a tooth brush. i will never do that mission again . i still have not got to part 2.

I unlocked prismatic on my other two characters and I’m looking forward to finishing the campaign on them personally. I really enjoyed the campaign so it’s not a bother for me.

I did all three in the first two weeks. Just got it over with.

There was nothing to do and my whole clan disapeared (thanks Bungie) so i did all 3 of my characters.

Used to run all 3…in TFS I completed (Normal) only on my H - as I ran that first, just by chance, to explore the new landscape and more. Normally, I’d take the next character on Legend mode - this was on my T…. A Few Minutes Later…back on Normal, and kinda just stopped there, as I switched back to my H to do the Exotic Khostov quest, which was both glitchy af and quite confusing. When that was eventually done - after a heaped serving of Meatballs, I tried the campaign again, on my W…and stopped around the same spot as my T…which meant, neither could play the Pale Heart zones…and IDGAF+ 😎 Personally, I think Bungle scored an own goal with that (silly) gated move!?! 🤡 And then things went pear-shaped thereafter… I’ve just gilded Flamekeeper on my W…the last Triumph ‘Light ‘em Up’ (?!) was done in Trials rounds won, which worked best for this old 0.3% tortoise, as all the other options were above my ‘git gud’ (gg 🫣) grade! And I did try them first, to no avail. 😉 Currently marking time to see how things develop…itmt, time to bow out… Got some fancy kindling for sale…also, a big stack of unused bows…🤔 Ease Springs! 🫡

I used to run three Guardians. Did that for years even after the sunsetting. The last time I finished a campaign with three was Beyond Light, which I eventually finished with all, mainly because I felt I had to get my money's worth from the DLC In Witch Queen, I finished with two. With Lightfall, just one. With the Final Shape, none because I didn't buy it. Now, even with free play, I'm down to one character about one hour every week or two. Some of this was lack of time, but mostly, it was waning enthusiasm. I really don't know what would bring me back to do more than dabble. Certainly, the way the game is now won't fo that.

I fully completed the Beyond Light, Lightfall, and TFS campaigns three times, once for each class. Really looking forward to never having to play those missions ever again lmao

Yeah, I gave up doing that a while ago. Now my other 2 characters are backpacks and they're so much happier for it.

Back in D1 I used to run the campaign on all three characters on three different accounts. That stopped a long time ago. I’ve ran the Lightfall campaign four times, two of which were on my main character as I deleted everything about 6 months ago, then came back. I just can’t get motivated to complete the Lightfall or TFS campaign on my other two characters. I’ve went from playing nine characters to playing one.
