Wait, people were demanding Bungie get rid of Pathfinder and bring back bounties.........oh wait, I forgot most of the players (some aren't even that anymore) on the forum can't agree on a damn thing. And to think, someone actually made a post suggesting the community should have creative control of the game! No way that would bomb.

I personally thought we'd have an individual pathfinder for vanguard, gambit, and crucible that were going to reflect objectives for said ritual activity. Turns out I still have to do gambit or crucible for some nodes. Can't do just vanguard related objectives. I assume that's what most people thought they were getting too.

Not my point, but okay.

I was responding to your statement about people wanting to get rid of the pathfinder and to bring back bounties. They were likely expecting the pathfinder to be something else (how I described it in my prior response) but didn't get that. A bit misleading on Bungie's part. Can't blame them for wanting the old system back (daily, weekly bounties). At least they know what they're getting.

Edited by jmann43b: 8/10/2024 10:59:26 PMYes, but that does tie into my point. People gripe about the grind and how stale the game has gotten, Bungie tries something different, and those same people immediately go on the offensive saying the "something different" sucks and to bring back the old systems they were originally complaining about. I have a child and lived with a pregnant woman, and she had less mood swings than this community does. Bungie should be listening to them? As for "misleading" the community, let's be real here; people are going to see what they want to no matter what gets told to them. For example, people still insist Bungie lied about the Dual Destiny mission and the Class Exotic although for the life of me, I don't recall them ever saying it would be attainable solo or otherwise. People just made it up in their head that's how it was going to be. Another example of how back-and-forth some people are, I remember posts about how there wasn't any more surprises in the game yet when things are kept under wraps, people whine about Bungie not telling us everything. Seems to me Bungie can't win for losing with this crowd and personally, I would've stop trying a long time ago. Now, by all means commence with the 'BDF' accusations, those never get old.

I see where you're coming from and I get how -blam!- minded the community can be at times. I don't religiously watch Bungie's D2 vods to know what was said in regards to the dual destiny mission. If they didn't put enough emphasis on the fact that the mission requires two players to do it, then people will conjure up crap. It's in the name "dual", meaning two... I think solo players just felt left out and made the excuse to rant about something they apparently misunderstood or couldn't enjoy on their own. When you have several player bases to balance content towards (solo, casual, hardcore players), you're always going to lose.
