What is the Official End Date 4 D2?
I want 2 know so I could finish one Raid that I truly want 2 acquire the weapon or will it players be able to purchase it?

9 RepliesIf you'd been reading the forums more you'd probably know the answer to that question. The answer is most likely when Marathon comes out because they simply refuse to add more servers and so they are going to have to rip the existing servers out of the Destiny data center and place them into the Marathon data center. Also according to the forums, they refuse to treat their player base with sufficient tender love and care so they are unlikely to agree to print physical discs so that we may continue to enjoy Destiny in the comfort of our homes.

I personally don't think this is the end of D2, I think Sony is finally taking matters into their own hands and getting rid of people who aren't cutting it in Sony's eyes. I could be wrong and this could be the end of D2, but something like this has happened in the past and didn't kill the game, but I could be wrong.

The game isn't going away. And because of the so much hated P2P infrastructure it will remain playable for a long time.

Reading their comments that are devoid of actual facts reminds me of people who argue that the earth is flat. We have content for the next year and they announced Frontiers for 2025 so that’s plenty of time if you’re worried. So I’d say a minimum of 2 years lol.

The only two games Bungie has is destiny and the unreleased marathon. The current road map is being completed. That is two more chapters and the frontiers. What takes place from now to that point is up in the air as Bungie adjusts to the changes and finalize marathon. So we are a year away from the unknown at this point.
