Hey there!
From what I gathered I needed to deactivate the accounts
Sorry I am somewhat confused as to why you're doing this, what your intended end goal is. Your Active character set is XBox, if you deactivate cross-save, then your characters will become XBox only. I am not sure what you plan to do with next on your Epic account, you're either going to use it as Active (which will mean you won't be playing your current XBox characters) or set it up as dormant again - in which case you're basically back to the state that you're in now. Could you explain why deactivating is going to help? Is it your intention to start fresh on Epic? Secondly, just an observation, If you bought The Final Shape on the linked Epic account, the Episode pass (one if it was the standard edition, three if it was the annual pass edition) would have been applied to your XBox characters, as they are the Active character set. However if I look you up on crimson.report -> https://crimson.report/4611686018451131666/4611686018494476227 Not only do you not show as owning anything on the linked Epic account, but there are no passes attached to your XBox Active account. With you being unable to authenticate the existing Epic account, that's two things that point to the following conclusion - the Epic account attached to your cross-save is a different Epic Games account to the one you've trying to authenticate. When you launch the game on Epic, do you see your XBox characters? If you log out here on Bungie.net, and log in with the Epic credentials you are trying to authenticate with, what happens, what account does it bring you to?

 • It is no problem, I apologize for the confusion. I am beyond confused myself. So I was using my Character set from Xbox on Steam up until the most recent content which I ended up buying on Epic. So I would like to use my same characters from Xbox and play the new content on Epic, but when I go to sign in on Epic it takes me to the new character screen and does not have any of my old characters available. I did notice when I trying to Authenticate the platforms for deactivation that it said my Epic account did not have the License for Final Shape but when I am on my Epic account it says it is in my library. I will log out and sign in with my Epic creds to see what happens. Thank you so much for your time and help!!! OG

 • Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately that's a third thing that points to the account you're using on Epic and the account attached through cross-save, are two different accounts. Not sure what kind of solution to suggest. Logging into Epic with the linked account should let you play your XBox characters, but you won't have Final Shape because that wasn't the account you purchased it on. You may be able to refund on one and purchase on the other. The platforms sometimes restrict this due to people's game time being well over two hours, but if I'm right about it being a different account, then the one you bought TFS on has no playtime anyhow so hopefully won't be a problem.

 • It is very confusing! So when I signed out of bungie and signed in with my epic creds it asks me if I've had a bungie account already so I link it with Xbox and when I click link it gives me the Authentication Error saying this.... Authentication Error Unlinking has failed because you are attempting to link an account that is involved in Cross Save. Please sign in with that account separately, undo its Cross Save pairing, and then attempt to link again. There has been an error. Please try again later.
