Okay so, what exactly ARE the Pyramids and what are they made of?

One minute theyre paracausal beings, next minute they're just vessels controlled by voices. They couldn't have always been what they are: floating tombs for the Witnesses creators that it carries as a reminder of its purpose...and to do freak experiments on organisms from different civilizations. We see them built during their golden age that was kickstarted by the Traveler. What makes these things tick and how do they twist and morph into different shapes like the Obelisk on Beyond Light?

  • Ignore the guy with the long name They are essentially ships They started off as the precursor peoples ships to explore and do everything having all kinds of uses from terraforming to exploring (cant be bothered to find the logs explaining the jobs of some of them i think its the raid books or some book eido found) Eventually after the Witness was formed they were remade with darkness (keep in mind the witness was so powerful they could do ALOT of stuff) they eventually remade the ships with these abilities in mind. So you could call them paracasual entities but they are more or less “drones” that can be controlled by the witness or disciple that inhabits them and those who control that vessel control it 100% even the interrior like Rhulk vs Nezerecs ships design they may be similar but structurally internally they are quite different. Or we can look at what i called a “drone” being the Europa pyramid where its just abunch of moving parts and is the only one that reacts to us. (Nezerec was technically still alive for his and Rhulk controlled his)

    • They’ll never explain, it’s why they half-sacked the finale campaign to begin with. Just to get it over with. ‘Isn’t it weird we are hesitant to say the Traveler is helping us?’ I mean….with lame dialogue like that? You think they’ll dive deep into lore that’s no longer relevant? Just like the Veiled Statues. They were here before the Witness in the Golden Age before the Witness showed and then suddenly they are Dissenters from his species….then why and when did the Witness come here and hide it? If they are retconning things willy-nilly, don’t expect them to take it seriously.

They were created by the witness. Witness is dead so the pyramids are now inactive or they dispersed after its death. I think nezarecs pyramid & rhulks in savathuns throne world are the exceptions. This is speculation on my part on whether or not they are still around or if they are inactive.
