I don't agree with the severity of the nerf. That said, it still offers Hunters the best ammo economy with the weapon during DPS phases since you still gain 3 shots despite only spending 1 of them, letting you output more Golden Guns over an extended time compared to other classes. Again, though, the damage of the shot being hit that hard is an overreaction.

11 RepliesThey haven't over reacted. In fact, they've underreacted. Nighthawk shouldn't benefit still hunt at all because Titan and Warlock do not have Nighthawk. That simple. I'm a hunter main too.

Bro it was basically 60% better on Hunters than the other 2 classes… that’s insane!!!… and with no comparable exotic/weapon interaction on the other classes.

6 RepliesAh, yes. 74% of the players that completed SE on Day 1 were Hunters, and all of them were using Still Hunt. But, you know, those are balanced numbers. May I also note that 1% of the players were Titans? But nope, Still Hunt is b a l a n c e d.

Womp womp the busted gun got a deserved nerf and its still the best in slot weapon, that only gets beat out by whisper because of the artifact mod

Oh its not done being nerfed yet, next they will add a shot cool down and reduce more damage out put. Soon it will be so bad everyone will just vault the gun and bungie will ask why no one is using it.

1 ReplyEdited by Zodleon: 7/25/2024 2:10:18 AMI don't think it's "just" another sniper rifle as even on other classes, it's part of some higher damage rotations, and nighthawk still gives it solid benefits. I think it may have been a bit much of a nerf, but the sniper rifle was a bit much.

I did like how powerful it was with Celestial, but if it reaches the point that it's the only accepted option, that's a problem. Despite the nerf, Hunters are still exceeding in DPS just because of it. I see another nerf in the future.

The big perk is Golden Guns. I doubt it'll be too affected.

Yea, Still Hunt is still good because of the Artifact Perks. Those will be gone at some point.

All exotics get nerfed, the point of new exotics is to get players into the game to make their numbers look good and then nerf them, then bring in new ones, and so on and so on.

It's still the best option, you are more likely to hit one crit than 3, especially the trend of mobile bosses designed to prevent static dps phases Hit golden gun, hit Retribution , finish with bait and witch scilliant trajectory or rocket , you will still outdamage Titans and Locks
