Can we get improved Devour on Ophidian Aspects?

So I was revisiting D1 recently and was reminded that the original Ophidians offered improved Siphon Abilities and life Steal was the Devour equivalent in D1. Since the melee range buff was removed can we get some of that D1 Ophidian flavor?

      I think they need to reprise The Ram exotic helm instead. Which is pretty much improved devour/life steal on melee (aka Karnstiens) meets The Stag, with the resist/armour buff. But seeing as these two already are exotics in the game I doubt The Ram will return sadly.

      • I mean, it's not a bad idea, but I think I'd rather see a skull buff first since that one feels way more left behind.

          I use Ophid only for PVP but I think its a great idea to make that or some other functionality exist ONLY for PVE.. I honestly feel the crucible has so many instaheal things going on now.. its sad. You watch people you took to one shot/half a shot.. a sneeze.. come right back with full health in a split sec. You're actually making them worse players. I do not use devour as I like the effects of vortex and of course child in both PVP and PVE but listen I'm not gonna complain if you want to put me in parity with the rest. Overall good idea.

          I'd be down for 1 free stack of both Momentum Transfer and Impact Induction. But the exotic that should get the buff is Skull. It's perk improved all siphon abilities... this shouldn't include Devour, it's already so strong... but yes to applicable fragments on Void and Prismatic. Yes for Demolitionist, Wellspring, and Puglist. Yes for (exotic) weapon traits. No for armor mods.
