I’m just doing some objective, qualitative data collection and would love to know where the majority of the community stands on Destiny “going forward.”

1 ReplyA lot of people don’t understand Destiny 3 will not magically fix a lot of the problems the community has with Destiny 2.

Edited by itsCriTical: 7/24/2024 6:37:46 AM2 years ago I would have said YES. now I say NO. everything from the beginning again? it would be pure copy and paste. D3 with content from D1 and weapons from D1/2, no thanks, I pass. and 2 years later again sunset :D

Edited by RAVEN: 7/24/2024 6:54:31 AMNope, likely would stop playing by then unless they port over all my progression (which already don’t make sense) Every time there is a sequel to a shooter looter, they don’t always pan out well. The starting content will always be lesser than what we already got on their existing game, only for them to take years before they build back up all the essentials. Do you want to go through another round of mass drought content just like how D2 started? I know I don’t.

I probably wouldn’t buy into it unless they change their power system which is never gonna happen. I still enjoy running the new stuff in D2 and then taking breaks from it when I’m done.
-
Would like a D3 however: 1. All new weapons and armor. I don’t think I would want to grind for the same stuff again. 2. Probably a new story and main characters, are not connected to D1 and or D2. 3. Maybe only one class, with special perks depending on what subclass (hunter, warlock, titan) you pick. However, you could switch subclasses anytime. 4. Probably more focused on Story/ PvE more than anything. 5. Maybe all supers and abilities could just be Prismatic. They could have maybe ~ 4 different “Prismatic Mixtures “ to pick from. 6. Maybe a different company in charge or making / running D3. While I very much enjoy D2, I feel like Bungie has taken it as far as they can and or want to, outside of the already confirmed content for the next few years.

“Objective” but you’re poisoning the well and skewing your data by how you’re phrasing the responses. I wouldn’t count this as objective by like High School AP sociology standards. Anyway…. Wouldn’t mind a D3 but I’d like a good bit of warning. A full reset would be okay, but I’d like a good bit of notice ahead of time so I don’t get attached. A D3 would be interesting, but I don’t think it’ll solve as much as people believe it will.

I'll hold off on my decision until I'm finished with D2.
-
As long as someone else besides the woke clowns are making it then I’m all for a D3.
-
If bungie improves upon Khepris Horn, I’ll spend all my money on destiny 3.🗿

Guardian,Archon Of LightRIP Destiny 9-14-2014 to 2-18-2026 - old
It's obvious they have taken D2 has far has they can , no matter how many seasons or expansions, it can still only offer the same experience we have been burnt out on along time ago We need a brand new game, built from the ground up optimized for the best PCs and Next Gen consoles(not PS5 and Series X), with new and deeper character building mechanics, I'm talking WOW levels , like 500 different combinations for each class , and all new loot , don't sell us guns we have have already bought And our current Guardian needs to perish, and be told has stories to the rookie guardian we play has Completely new locations with completely new enemies, have all the Cabal and Fallen be allied, and Have all of Xivus Brood folded into Savathuns and be an uneasy truce for the time being Have more than 3 classes, with Cabal and Eliksni(Fallen) classes , and more than 3 Human classes I could go on but the TlDR is Destiny needs to hit the reset button in the worst way , the world has gotten too small , and we can only see emptiness -
1 ReplyI think it should have happened a while back. For me, Destiny 3 should have started with Beyond Light. That would have left Destiny 2 intact and avoided the need for the Destiny Content Vault.

I do, but only if it's a hard reset. My Guardians story is done. We killed the bad guy and the day is saved. Retire the character and let us start over.

I can't vote because I want them to succeed but I have no confidence in upper management's vision and care for what they release. Obviously a talented group somewhere there but just massively constrained. -
Edited by Lord Kielron: 7/23/2024 5:37:44 PMNo confidence in the dev. Knowing their track record, they’ll reboot the entire game they are creating in the 11th hour again. They’ve done it twice already
