So is the boss shank falling beneath the map for 80% of the first damage phase a new mechanic?
This went from happening 30% of the time to over 90% of the time throughout the week.
The boss isn't the only enemy that seems to have developed the ability to ignore collision physics and just teleport through walls, rails and incoming fire.
The Overload Captains are all kinds of bugged. They appear and disappear at random, going directly through the railing, and may or may not be stunnable.
This is still a quick and easy nightfall, so I'm not going to complain too loudly. However these issues definitely need to be addressed before they pop up in other parts of PVE.

4 RepliesI think AI pathing has just been getting worse and worse as the game gets older and this is a symptom of it. There's a moment in one of the Battleground Strikes where you have to guard Ghost from the Cabal while he scans a pillar in the center of the room and "disruptors" will spawn. Every time they spawn they stay in one spot until they suddenly teleport on top of Ghost and stop the scan progress. I'm pretty sure there's a triumph for doing that encounter without Ghost ever being interrupted which is now basically impossible due to bugged out pathing. The AI just thinks it can go through walls or that it can't path through open space anymore and it's beyond frustrating.

1 ReplyFallen Saber and bugs go hand in hand
-
i don’t really care, this bosses health is so small that even when he does that you get the immune bubble almost instantly
-
2 RepliesI think I've found the root of the issue. This week's overcharged weapon is fusion rifles... .....so which one of y'all has been using Telesto?

2 Repliesthe boss shank seems to have more health too, just spent 1 hour helping others get through it... Risk runner and arc is your friend in boss room.. Still tough. Alot harder, and I did it at 1960 power..
-
I actually think it's a very funny strike at the moment. btw - "These Captains' increased ability regeneration allows them to use their teleportation in quick succession, moving from one spot to another while dodging almost all incoming fire" I love it!

Edited by immnsar: 7/22/2024 6:26:46 PMlol 80% of dmg phase what u talking about does he fall yes for like maybe 5-10seconds it key thing is there is no timer on dmg phase he locks at health marks. Is it a bug yes but does not change fight man even adds do spawn till he comes back so calm down such a minor bug there is bigger problems. Also overloads that isn’t a bug they warp around sounds like u just don’t know how they work
-
4 RepliesYou know the overloads are supposed to teleport right
-
I've noticed the boss spending time under the plates as well. A shot from Lost Signal or Witherhoard still does damage. I haven't had any issues with the champions.
-
16 RepliesBig upvote on overload stun not working. We've stunned overloads over and over and watched their life bar coming back WHILE they're knelt down supposedly stunned.
-
It has been buggy for years. If you push up on the Overloads in the room just after the Arc track they sometimes will sit in spawn behind an immune barrier and refuse to leave effectively soft locking your run If you jump into the boss room at the right angle you'll get launched at mach 5 into a wall and killed 9 times out of 10
-
The overload captain teleport all over the place it’s crazy. As for the boss, 100% of the time for me.
-
Ran yesterday and in one GM, I tossed 4 nova bombs.. that literally dissappeared into thin air after about 1 second.. no damage, no explosion, just nothing. I had to laugh but, also.. really.. 4 times in one GM..
-
The first point can be avoided by not hitting the boss with anything before he lands safely and attacks you. Still annoying...

Edited by amazing_month041: 7/21/2024 9:34:10 PMOverload captains always do funny things like: Shooting after being stunned Teleporting after being stunned Teleporting and shooting after being stunned Teleporting off from a platform into the void after being stunned Recovering their health after being stunned ( i encountered this when i used Le Monarque) I even saw them not reacting to me while other enemies did btw this one happened on the glassway with the first champion but i only saw them doing this once or twice These bugs aren't an issues in a NF but in a GM can be a big problem

The boss going under the floor is a bit weird. It only happens for a few seconds, and it’s not like there’s a time-gate so I suppose it’s not problematic.
-
Noticed this yesterday & there are other changes to the boss fight. When he finally does manage to get up through the floor, he will move over to the only side of the map that isn't electrified and try to bogart you out of there. This is the wall on the right side of the boss room where the first enemies spawn. I have not seen this type of behavior before so maybe it's intended. There's also teleporting Cabal enemies in other strikes/battlegrounds (latency?). It might point towards bigger issues since I"ve noticed a lot more "killed by the architects" and misadventure deaths than there used to be. Thanks for posting.

Still has issues with kills not counting for pathfinder progress/ bounties in certain areas.

Skill Issue - A Bungie Executive Probably P.S. Don't forget to spend more money at Eververse
-
On my NF runs this week the boss comes up, shield goes down, we hit him and he immediately disappears back under the floor. Shortly later he pops back up, sometimes directly on top of us, as in right on top of our heads. You know what they like to do when over you? Crush you! Prime Bungo. Everything they touch becomes a mess lately. Please stop touching the game! And yes I know what that sounds like, notice I did not change it!
-
Ran that nightfall on each character because it was 11 mins to complete. I noticed he sinks into the floor then pops out. Don’t super or throw grenades for 2 secs as he appears and he will be fine. Just hit him with primary for 2 seconds as he starts moving? Nuke him
-
If you manage to get a prismatic grenade under the shank as he first pops up it stops him dropping back down :) lesser success with smoke grenades 🤣
-
Found it as a funny bug, nonetheless a bug that needs to be fixed.
-
2 Replies80% of the first damage phase?? Umm, you do know you can take an hour if you want to get to the second damage phase, right. The phases are predicated on damage, not time. Sure it's not ideal, but it ain't that big a deal and it definitely ain't 80% of your damage phase.
-
Yeah he goes missing and then reappears near where you fall when you first drop down into the bunker. It’s not too buggy enough to be a huge problem imo One of my favorite strikes too. One of the first GMs I did
