Okay so I'm just going to say this. The Exotic identity of Sturm, Mida Multi-Tool, Fighting Lion, and Rat King need a modern update.

I don't know if it's just me but there are very few settings that allow for Sturm, Mida, and Rat King to actually do their thing and I feel like they've fallen into obscurity because their main exotic traits are tied to a specific weapon that doesn't pair well or reliant on a teammates compliance. Sturm: Even among the 2 primary users very few actually want to pair a Handcannon with a Sidearm. It's unfortunate because the Sturm actually has a good Exotic trait. The way I see it there are 3 solid ways to fix the Exotic 1.) Make Sturm pair with any Solar weapon to match themes of passion 2.) Make Sturm a Special Handcannon like Eriana's Vow (but hopefully good) 3.) Make a new Drang variant thats a Rocket Assisted Sidearm. I think any of these options could work if implemented right, but honestly I have a preference for option 1. The theme is cool, but having an exotic rely on one specific weapon to thrive means it lives and dies with that weapon. That means its pair Drang and possibly all Adaptive frame Sidearms will always have to be in focus when considering the balance of Sturm or it will always fall into obscurity with time. Mida Multi-Tool: Super easy fix concept for Mida just have its mobility bonus activate with any Lightweight frames instead of just Mida Synergy frames. There are plenty of Lightweight Shotguns and Grenade Launchers that could breathe new life into Mida for both PvE and PvP especially if perks like Explosive Payload or Kinetic Tremors also landed on it. High Cal Round and Explosive Payload would also be a really unique but simple combo worthy of an exotic like Mida Rat Pack: I also have a simple fix concept for Rat King in mind. Just remove the need for additional players to have Rat King equipped and have any allies (AI included) add Rat Pack stacks. Having an exotics main perk hinge on the group conforming to an exotic is rough. Rat King is a fun exotic and it's perk conditions should allow more room to thrive. Fighting Lion: I know the PvP crowd really hates this weapon for double GL spam and I really just want it to be good in PvE. So these a is what I have to dumb it down in PvP while making it a top tier PvE contender First drop the the RPM to 25. Then buff the reload speed. Finally add Chain Reaction Pretty much the most annoying thing about Fighting Lion in PvP is Rain of Fire warlocks Icarus Dash spamming and firing off GL pairs like they were bottomless clip. The RPM nerf would cut back the amount of possible Fighting Lion spam in brief duals. I also don't believe the RPM nerf would affect Fighting Lion for general use because its reload speed is actually worse than most rockets at 3.49 seconds per reload. Crux Termination IX just as an example has 3.14 seconds per reload. It's because of this that I'd like to buff Fighting Lion's reload to accommodate the full us of that 25 RPM rate of fire. Chain Reaction of course because it's a single shot Primary. Exotics like Graviton Lance and Sunshot are more forgiving and offer a Chain Reaction like perk. Honestly Fighting Lion really could use that effect more because it's slow when groups appear.

    • I was thinking about Sturm the other night: 1. Any energy slot primary procs 2. And a new Drang... A RS... but weakest of the field, a 2 burst Light-weight version... void, that call roll with Envious Assassin.

    • For Fighting Lion: take the damage down by like 20% - 30%, amp up the reload speed to what it was before its multiple nerfs, and also add disruption break. PVP damage would need to be looked at but I'm sure it could be figured out. This would let it play into both styles in PvE. Right now it's painful to use as a primary and there's really no reason to use it over something like a rocket sidearm. Upping reload lets it be more for ad clear while disruption break allows that swap fantasy to be more strong.

      • Rat King should have restoration instead of just basic healing AND make Rat Pack operate more like Gally. Where allies using sidearms(legendaries) benefit from Rat Pack. Granting faster rpm and invisibility on kills. Imagine the rocket sidearm damage?!

        • I don't think your fighting lion Idea is good. It's a primary GL, and while nerfing its RPM would appear as a good solution to nerf certain playstyle, it would undeniably hurt those who use this playstyle in PvE Another Idea would be, since fighting lion does increased direct hit damage, each direct hit/damage instance gives a stacking bonus to FL that increase its damage and reload speed multiplier. It could be a 30-50% damage increase per stack up to 10 times its initial damage but if you miss your shot you lose half of your stacks.(In PvP it could be like 10% per stack) Also, FL with deconstruction should be fun

          • Turn sturm into an agressive burst and drang into a rocket sidearm. Problem fixed 🥳

            • Sturm needs precision instrument - i don’t mind using it in PvP even with its lacklustre exotic trait - the stats are great and that enough justifies using it even without Drang
