PVP is broken
Hello,
Your PvP is totally broken. Each new season it gets worse and worse. The accuracy of some players is unbelievable, the lag is unbearable, and the matchmaking is completely absurd. You wait 10 minutes only to have it put 3 random weak players against 3 random strong players. WTF? Why?
It's probably really time to stop giving money to this company.

Bungie cannot fix pvp, it is too late. We have the worst meta since 10 years. Bungie is doing nothing!

The abilities are crazy rn. Prismatic Hunter's kit might be the best for practically everything, and all the abilties have a short cooldown, are difficult to destroy, and stay around a while. Shiver Strike + Knockput on Prismatic Titan is basically impossible to counter. I hope that Bungie addresses these issues with the next balance patch.

They need to invest in pvp more. This strike team is already disbanded and honestly, they didn't do anything earth shattering except make matchmaking worse. I would respect them if they just come out and say, "we are not investing anything else in pvp, because it's not what pays bills ".

There are so many full pvp games available, but you stockholm’d yourselves into playing a game that will never fully recognize you. Ever. I’m not saying apex/fortnite/cod are the pinnacle of PvP, but at least they’ll respect lobby stability and balancing more than the jack of all trades master of none that is D2

5 RepliesJust hopped into a game of control where there was no end to the bullshit. 1. Kill a dude and get a kill confirmation 3s later. 2. Die to a titan axe through the wall at 50m range 3. Shoot a storm trance warlock only for them to disappear back to where they were 3 seconds ago around the corner 4. Melee a hunter 4x in the back only for them to turn around and shotgun me. I am on a fiber connection provided by a private company with gigabit speeds and single digit latency. At this point crucible feels like a slot machine on whether or not some dude has his ethernet cord shoved up the @$$ of Ronald McDonald.

Bad matchmaking kills the experience. If the score ends double or triple with regularity...is the other team even getting a chance to play ?

1 ReplyDon’t forget the crazy amount of cheaters using scripts, Cronus max, lag switches etc. It’s absurd, I wish I can turn cross play off and actually find players but no I’m stuck in crazy unbalanced hacking lobbies.

2 RepliesJust went into control to get pathfinder done. What fun. After one minute, some toxic ### starts insulting people via chat bc they’re not good enough or something, tells them to uninstall etc. Enemy team never misses a shot, nobody takes flinch, hand cannons out-ttk autos … it’s such a dumpster fire, it’s unreal.

I honestly agree, started in season 14, but I remember when I felt better about pvp, then something happen towards the latter half of witch queen and since then I felt like a serious dose of skill issue. It was also during this time I switch to pc but still.

1 ReplyIt is really bad. The matchmaking is probably the worst it’s ever been. 2 sweaty player put on the same team while I’m stuck with the bots. I was able to get to Platinum 1 last season and just short of Adept. This season, I can’t get out of Gold 2

I didnt have a normal PvP match today, not one. opponents port back and forth, opponents fall over 3 seconds later, opponents die behind walls - just like me... as for the aiming issue, its because Destiny is dead. were back to a 50k peak (45k PvE). pvp - trials + comp extremely many device users (XIM and Rewasd). every round 2-3 people on my team rage quits... because nobody wants to play against ximmer with their aim assist MNK which feels like an aimbot.

I've found that as a pulse user, when I duck for cover and can no longer see my opponent to shoot, he can still hit me once or twice wvwn though I can't see him. Same with shotguns. If I'm close enough to an opponent with shotgun, it can be pointed up in the air, down at the ground, or completely pointed in another direction, and I still get killed one shot. Half of a match we can be winning, then the next half it's like my guns can't kill the opponents even if they have no shield and half health. It's completely rigged. I get a bad teammate or teammate almost every match. I play mostly Comp and I love Survival. Now Comp is 5 Collision matches to 1 Survival. Who wants to play when it's always the same tactics. Camp the zone with hand cannon/shotgun or Kvostov/shotgun? Zero fun. Players are ONLY playing a handful of Meta weapons because of the ttk, aim assist, and ease of use. Mostly hc's, shotguns, Kvostov, Graviton, etc... 90% of all other weapons get almost zero use in PvP because you'd lose every game. They give the most op weapons to the best players who are already good in PvP, so give them better weapons. If you only have an hour or two 5 days out of the week to play like me, you're screwed. D1 PvP was much better.

Pvp has been terrible today .. my character is invisible, guns are invisible, my whole team ... invisible and every one on the other team invisible .... it's unplayable ... please fix this bungie

Yeah, teams either destroy or get destroyed because players give up. It's really bad RN and it's a good opportunity for someone to make a better game

I mean no surprises really ! Played last night and back to mercy games and spawning into ongoing games . It’s a shame Bungie has stepped back from Pvp now . A lot of people only log in to play pvp so less people will playing destiny .

Non-stop ability spam. It’s a broken arena. The hit detection is too slow for how fast everyone moves so everyone has to crutch it with abilities to get any kills. I rarely get a 1v1 dual. It’s just engage as fast as you can and then disengage just as fast. If your abilities land some damage, you press the advantage and farm a kill. It’s so bad I miss special weapon spam meta.
