There's literally nothing fun about this stupid Battleground activity. It's just stupid and a waste of time.

1 ReplyIt's just the same furniture moved around the same room and Bungie is calling it fresh and new. Battlegrounds are just strikes. Atleast they are completable under 10 mins.

8 RepliesBeen saying it for years bro. No one wants any more repeatable activities. They're cheap and lazy. Just make new patrol zones with no mm repeatables in them and instead have a new strike included, a new raid or dungeon, an event like the VSF for instance in it and hidden items to find that give lore and triumph score. They can bring back the Plaguelands for starters and return WoTM and the Archon's Forge. No more mm repeatables and cringe-jester love stories.

Activity feels very much the same as we've been getting in regards to Battlegrounds. Maybe even more simple this time around than in the past. Best part about its as always seems to be the environment is incredible to see. Absolutely nailing it as always.

Saint and Failsafe are awesome. The new battleground are fun. Breach executable is terrible but enigma protocol is fun. The weapons are awesome. Best of any season in my opinion. Rocket sidearm stands out, the GL, the Scout the Pulse rifle and hand cannon with volt shot are all great. There’s just some pros and cons with this season and that’s ok. It’s just vex related and vex are …boring lol

1 ReplyI liked the Second Battleground, but that’s because it felt entirely new as opposed to the previous one which took place partly in areas we have already explored and experienced. If Bungie changes the way Nessus appears as the actual destination, it would only exemplify the issue with the first Battleground.

The season isn't bad in my opinion, actually one of the better starting seasons to a DLC. Remember Risen and Defiance? Both were mediocre to horrible, at least for me. I can agree with the Battlegrounds, especially the first one, that it feels no different from any other of the previous ones we have been presented with. The second one felt much better but I was loaded in partway through and I missed some of it, so I can't say for certain. However it looks amazing, the dev team that built the architecture did an outstanding job, though I do enjoy Vex structures and the alteration of the environment for the story. Its a shame they couldn't update the patrol space to mirror it.

I actually liked the new battlegrounds they felt like strikes, wish I could go in solo just to slay out without teammates but is what it is. Don't care for the badly written romance of Osiris and saint I turn my brain off everytime I hear it. I like failsafe which feels like a first with all the nothing npcs we got wouldnt be surprised if they kill her off 😂. Crafted the weapons tested some rolls. Episodes are just seasons in which isn't bad but the glaring issue is the core game playlists are lifeless for a lack of a better description.

I haven't run expert, but was pleasantly surprised to find the bosses didn't have shield gating. I think this is something they could try for more vex bosses going forward. Similar to the boss in inverted spire. Instead of shield gating to fight the same boss, have them switch up. Vex could have a different chassis each phase. Start with a Minotaur Hobgoblin, swap to a Hydra or Cyclops for the 2nd phase, then Wyvern for the final phase. Unsure how other races would be handled.

Take breaks. I’ve skipped many seasons or just waited until the last few weeks of a season. Allows me to come back and play content the way I’d like to without the drip feeding.

2 RepliesSounds like you need to take a break. Maybe play something else for a while and then, when you come back, visit some of the old activities or places that made you enjoy the game to stay off with. Or maybe you have outgrown the game. It's okay to move on when fun becomes a joyless task.

2 RepliesWhat I dislike is that the events are time gated. So you can only progress so far through the quest and then you have to wait until next reset to progress the next part of the quest. I wonder if they are worried there’s not much content so if they drip feed it over the upcoming weeks. The new strikes are different but offer no real challenge. If we are forced to play the same strikes over the next few weeks I will be finding something else to do. Nothing worse than being playing the same content on repeat.

I actually like the new battlegrounds. Revamped nessus is cool. That being said I also agree. Seasons feel empty and lifeless. The core playlist needs to support the seasonal stuff. Core playlist has been obsolete for years apart from doing specific tasks...

sounds like D2 should had been named D3 but they didn’t bother because it’s the final shape, final chapter or the end could had been better

I luv it . I went in solo to have a look around, the scenery is amazing and the enemies didn't seem too bad to me at all, not too many and the boss battle was set out pretty well. GM may be a different story but so far so good.
