Bungie name change
I would like to change my name, but it says my one name change was used. I believe it was used when my name was auto switched to GuardianXXXX since maybe the name I used 4 years ago, PooPile, was deemed inappropriate at some point while I wasn't playing. Doesn't seem so bad (that's even my PSN name so if I was playing there then it would seem silly to switch it on me), so I'm hoping a simple switch to my Steam name would be ok.
I tried to submit a ticket using the Ban/Restrictions contact form, and even though it includes this exact topic as a reason for the submission, I get an auto-response saying that the question won't be investigated because it's not the correct use of the form. I'm not sure how else to appeal so I came here. Please let me know if anything can be done.

Is their anyway to petition for my name to be changed back it's not using profanity or any slurs it's been my name since the lauch of D1?

3 RepliesHey there, that option in the appeal form is for something that was never actually put in place - reported names are manually reviewed by Bungie and then reset if they are deemed to violate code of conduct, there isn't actually a way to 'appeal' it because of that. As for name changes, we all received a new one when Into the Light launched on the run up to The Final Shape. If you can enter a new name, then you do have a name change available. If you do not have any name changes available, then you would not be able to enter a new name at all. If you can enter a new name, and this new name is not being saved, that means it's hitting the name filter. There is no feedback to tell you this, it just won't go through. So you'd need to try something else.

There are no appeals for Bungie changing your name. If you dont have any name changes left then you'll be stuck with the name you have now permanently.
