Wasn't the whole point of the special ammo changes way back when the meter system was introduced to limit the amount of special ammo available? Maybe it's just me, but I feel that special ammo is now more available than ever. The meter system was nice because you had to earn the special ammo and we didn't have to deal with ammo crates. Now however every time you die you get ammo so people can go around aping infinitely. At least with the meter system, there were periods when people wouldn't have ammo if they weren't using their primary weapon (a dying art in PvP). Also if you managed your ammo wisely you would be rewarded by having ammo when most people didn't. Bungie talked about this thing "where the rich get richer" but isn't that the whole point of PvP? Shouldn't those who perform better be rewarded for it? I personally think that the special ammo meter system was the best iteration of special ammo in Destiny. It promoted primary gunplay, rewarded those who excelled, limited special ammo weapons, and was far more convenient. I know Bungie said they are still experimenting and I would love for them to return to that system.

That average player doenst like the almost no special game play they want to run around with special, so bungie saw that the skill gaps was getting. Giver so the made is so less skilled players have more of a counter with adding special to the playstyle back to almost previous standers
