Lets cut the BS The Strike Scoring System is due for an overhaul Bungie
Lets cut the BS. I've noticed a lot of people trying to justify The Strike points system where someone can get a 260,000 score for 80 kills. ***Just because it means nothing in game doesn't mean it should exist.*** This is clearly an unfair system and should be changed. It's annoying at BEST, and infuriating at worst when you do 95% of the work and get 600 measly score because someone used a finished. Make it Make Sense Bungie.
I'll even offer a Solution because complaining without a solution is not helpful: Make the Score System damage based. Effective. Simple. Easy. (You can make this more complex, but the base of my solution stands much stronger than whatever BS system we have now)

5 RepliesThey could make it one score. It can't provide any useful metric imo. You have kills, assists, rezzes, orbs, champion stuns, healing, CC, heavy generation and so on. Way to much to think about in a score. So change the weekly challenge to 2 NFs or 1 GM to complete, done. Without any very advanced tools, there is no way you can tell good from bad outside playing with them.

Non issue. Why you even looking at things that mean absolutely nothing? It's useless fluff, like guardian ranks, ignore it.

Edited by Jammers: 7/13/2024 5:00:49 PMThis has been a major problem with bungies scoring system since day 1. players all cry it don't matter but then there laying back after you waste your ammo to pop the kill. Or worse they say it don't matter but yet don't like to be last on the score card, this doesn't reflect skill level.it only gives false numbers on if your build is working good or not. bungie really needs to change the scoring to reflect accurately your total damage not just kill cleanup.

6 RepliesYour suggestion is simple, and I credit you for making one rather than just coming onto the forum and shouting (figuratively speaking), "THIS IS BS! FIX IT!" which is unfortunately all too common but aside from bragging rights, does it really make much of a difference?
