I’m asking because I played 6 strikes and everyone in my fireteam was dying at an alarming rate from being one shot by enemies .

1 ReplyThey put -5 on strikes because hardcore players want more challenge but for some reason they leave GM where they play untouched iirc What a joke

The top end got easier and the bottom end got harder, for some unknown reason Bungie has determined which is baffling considering what they claim they want for newer players. Increasing everything that isn't a patrol to -5 Power and with the right use of builds, especially Prismatic, even GM Nightfalls are easier to stay alive. I don't notice much difference personally unless I am running some crazy build to take advantage of multiple Pathfinder nodes, but essentially requiring you to buildcraft for the most basic of activities is a bit crazy.

Something else I've noticed is that regular strikes now use Nightfall enemy configurations. For example, the Tormentor in Lake of Shadows used to only be there in Nightfalls, but is now there in the strike playlist too.

1 ReplyEdited by Obi-Juan: 7/15/2024 4:07:15 AMIt's fine if people are dying in strikes, they need to start somewhere and learn to improve before they move on to nightfalls where they're going to need to be dealing with much bigger threats. It's better they learn about survivability before they try that out. Also, I die in strikes plenty of times because I don't take them seriously and a lot the time just stand in the open whilst I take a bite of my food lol. You never know if that's the case with your teammates. Maybe they're just deliberately not trying to play safe because it's a strike as opposed to a higher difficulty activity where it matters more that you actually try

10 RepliesI have 100 resilience and roughly 90 recovery and I still get 1 tapped by most things, even in 1995 nightfalls and I’m 2009 light I think
-
They also changed all strikes to the "nightfall" version. Where certain enemies are replaced by stronger ones. And added enemies that normally only show up in nightfalls. So its not just the -5power in strikes.

-5 power lvl

If feels very different from one strike to another. But I'd say yes, strikes sometimes hit very weird like the calculations change or so.

I have notice and increase to incoming damage. Randomly i will die in 1-3 hits from trash ads. It also doesn't help that most enemies has splash damage with a pretty big splash radius. Not to mention that enemies will also randomly get 100% accuracy. Not sure what has caused this, but i do hope that it gets fixed soon.

25 RepliesI think the biggest issue is the modifiers. If they're not in your favour or you don't set up correctly for them it can be a bad experience. IMO some of the negative modifiers make your regular playlist strikes harder than GM's and this should NEVER be the case.

5 RepliesIt used to take two hits on the Corrupted strike boss to break her shield. Since Final Shape it takes three.
-
Sometimes it feels like whatever the threat is hurts unreasonably more than others. Especially from splash damage sources
-
I noticed that in regular overthrow I was getting like 2 shot by tormentors. Then again I have a garbage build

I’m asking because I played 6 strikes and everyone in my fireteam was dying at an alarming rate from being one shot by enemies .
Strikes have been the same since the stsrt of lightfall where your light is level with the enemy.
-
Shouldn’t you be more concerned about how much you are dying in strikes, since you seem to be dying more than your teammates?

1 ReplyEdited by The Hermit IX: 7/14/2024 8:50:06 AMLol you’re a level 11 with all three characters at 2016. I doubt that you’re struggling with regular strikes. Come on now.
