I have made like 6 or 7 different builds in the last week on Warlock, and it doesn't matter because prism hunters literally run in, drop a threaded specter with no consequences, if they get in trouble after that, smoke or swarm nade.
I try to build into annoying ability spam on my end and it doesn't work. Threadlings are stupid. Hellion hits people and burns them but despite the tick life bars that are at half health stay the same. Bleak watcher doesn't fool anyone anymore. Penumbral blast doesn't track at all. Cast times for snap and other abilities is just too long for this sandbox, I will get shredded even trying but Titans can unga bunga run in with consecration, frenzied blade and whatever else with no consequences.
I try to avoid the ability spam and focus on healing and find I spend all my healing nades just to tank swarm nades that just sit there and can't be destroyed. Why is my success entirely built on withstanding ability spam? I do not want to play the game like this, just picking the most annoying ability against the most annoying ability.

I have literally been preaching "Hunter Bias" since the beginning of time. It's something about those damn "YOGA" pants that really gets developers going over there at bungie, to where they nerf Titans/Warlock abilities and bless the hunter with even better yoga pants. LOL

Have you considered playing prism hunter instead until they get nerfed?

PVP mentality > gunplay + movement 1st... oh btw I have some abilities. That you are trying to build into "annoying ability spam".. then you are part of what's wrong with PVP.. and well I am happy you are not succeeding. -
3 RepliesMan im just running a rose with a scout rifle with sentinel and having a blast lol

Run heat rises on the bigger maps and stasis on the smaller ones, you should have a better chance surviving all the annoying spam.

2 RepliesDestiny’s unbalanced even at its best. Threaded spectre is only annoying when people use the legs for it. I used threaded on gamblers dodge all the time and nobody said it was annoying. They should’ve nerfed the exotic and made it not throw off aim assist on controller. It would be fun if it was more pve viable than it is in PvP. Bungie should have put the strand dive on prismatic hunter instead of the spectre. I like the nerf but I always used the spectre on gamblers and stompees strand hunter hardly ever uctually use prismatic in PvP unless it’s for bakris dodge builds. The games always unbalanced simply because it gets updated so often and the developers want to have a bit of fun instead of balancing everything new that they add. Take elden ring for example it got a dlc recently (highly recommended playing it) and that made things unbalanced but given time fromsoftware fixes it and the game is perfectly balanced. Destiny 2 devs bombard themselves with cool items but don’t give themselves enough time to balance the game before they add more meta defining gear. Have a nice day.
