Exotic class item acquisition method
It’s really bad. The best method to farming these class items outside of the mission shouldn’t be from chests at a 1/64 chance. The class item needs some kind of focusing method. Currently it’s just RNG on top of RNG which is a massive waste to everyone’s time.
I propose 2 solutions:
1. A class item is guaranteed in either excision or at the end of an Overthrow.
2. The player can focus a class item for 4 engrams at the ghost vendor in the pale heart.

Maybe If the chances you get it out of a chest stay the same, but finishing an overthrow gives you a guaranteed drop from the final chest might be better?

They should make Excision with the raid key guarantee a class item drop and add back the ability to get 2 from the mission. That's about it.

Or at least have it so that you cannot receive duplicates. The items don't have stats so there is no reason for it. Also there's hardly enough vault to store the variants, especially with three characters. I propose shaping once achieved. Or save blueprints.

Overthrow should have a random knockout list on completion that has a Pool of - Ergo Sum, Exotic CI (if unlocked already) , Golf Ball X2 , Prisms X5 , Enhance Cores X10. Just 5 items, and once one.is acquired it just knockout list until all 5 are done then randomly starts again the list.

2 RepliesI just finished farming pale heart chests for an hour and didn't get a single exotic. 15 gunsmith engrams and 14 pale heart engrams 🙄 totally worthwhile.

Agreed on the overthrow completion. But it would compete with Ergo Sum, so it could result in an Overthrow dropping either Ergo Sum or an exotic class item. At this point, it could also be a random drop from the pathfinder completions too. You'd get either Ergo Sum or an exotic class item. Better yet, why not have them focus-able at Rahool or the Ghost (as you mentioned) for an exotic engram + glimmer + cores or something? They could be similar to the rest of the exotic armor, but because they don't have actual stats and they're ONLY for prismatic, maybe make them cost whatever the exotic armor focusing costs without paying a cipher.

Have it so once you've gotten all perks to drop once in each column, you can go buy it at the ghost and pick your perks.
