Most at Bungie are cringe.

5 RepliesMost of the players are as well.

Yeah they feel kind of fake and kiddie like
-
They all feel shallow, but Cayde was at least fun.

3 RepliesIs this a new trend to gain attention by saying cold takes and pretending they are hot takes?

2 RepliesThe only ones that I find awesome are - Pre TFS Zavala - Drifter - Shaxx - Saladin - Saint 14

It's because none of them have any depth and rely too much on one singular aspect of their history (or two, if they're lucky). It's like someone took a two sentence backstory for each character and tried to stretch that out to 50 pages.

1 ReplyEdited by Tall: 7/8/2024 4:59:38 PMCorrection, most of the characters became cringe. All of the new characters are cringe.

2 RepliesThey couldn’t even conclude the Dark and Light saga, they just had a big bad fight and said ‘epic conclusion’ They treat the game like a joke, so should you

3 RepliesSome of the characters are excellent and I don’t mind most of the others. However, the mini teen dramas that get written for them are terrible, IMO. I liked Amanda until she got a storyline. Then I was delighted when she got blown to smithereens. Sometimes less is more.

They *killed* off the greatest D2 character of all time and the game has never been the same since....Asher Mir.
-
Once they killed off my dogg The Speaker i stopped caring

4 RepliesI liked Mara Sov in D1, as well as Cayde-6. In d2 the only one I like is Failsafe, surprisingly. I’ve never liked our ghost.
-
3 RepliesHot take if you care about character personalities in a VIDEO GAME, you are cringe

1 ReplyCrow is the epitome of this. Is he really that popular that Bungie needs to make him the face of the hunters and put him in the Vanguard? Never been that likeable of a character to me, and he was much better when he was the smug -blam!- Uldren. Don't like how he's basically being force fed in the narrative as this cool new character we should all like because he got a cookie cutter redemption story.
-
Isn’t it strange the side characters and dead characters are the most likable. The writers have changed many times over the years. Choose any main NPC in this game and inconsistency is noticeable. Lore becomes fan fiction. Introducing new characters would have been preferable to many of the rewrites.
-
They always have been.

It is funny that almost ALL couples are gay/lesbian now AND most villains are female... * Just really noticing it now, weird lol. So THAT'S why Destiny is nominated game of the year!!!
-
Kids writing is why.

Welcome to bad writing and character design. It's been 10 years.

3 RepliesTo me it's crazy that almost ALL the main villains are female and mostly ALL couples are gay now...

Edited by Z3N-me: 7/9/2024 11:37:19 AMThe biggest crime in all this, is that we are teaching kids that *exual preference/ gender is the lone defining characteristic and that everyone should be invested in their choice. When really no one gives a s..t and it should be put in the same category as say favourite colour/food/singer/writer. What do generals do when there is no one to fight…….start one.

I like our Ghost. He doesn’t get enough attention or credit especially during the seasons, leaving our already quiet Guardian without a Voice. I’ve also grown to like the characters within the Thorn and Last Word story. This does include the Drifter, despite not getting a whole lot of screen time either. Meaning this story extends to weapons like Malfeasance and Witherhoard. Lastly though, I just like the lore card stories for exotics, because despite having a lack of consistent characters, they give us light to interesting ones.
