Master Rahool trades certain items for glimmer… His stock rotates, but Herealways Pieces (from Europa) and Phantasmal Fragments (from Altars of Sorrow on the Moon) give you glimmer from him and you can farm them pretty easily while also farming glimmer with kills.

I always pick up any glimmer throughout missions and public events...I am almost always at max. What is op doing?

I have many triple and quadruple 100 builds as well so I definitely spend materials *I am not sure....I have been playing a lot and glimmer is never an issue

If you like crafting weapons as I do. You gonna be farming a lot. For the love of god on dreaming city. Stop killing all the blight in public events. Jump in the black dome and shoot big ole moony thingy every 4 seconds. Rinse and repeat till heroic. Yes get 15k glimmer instead of 5k

The glimmer bottleneck is real . lf your a weapon crafter it stops you pretty fast. 150k 1 weapon that's really bad bungie. please at the very least raise the cap on glimmer .and let cores or golf balls at least buy some glimmer . maybe have xur drop 500k glimmer once a week something is better then the current system.

Unless you need exotic cyphers, and/or are a new player, Xur for the most part has no relevance. If you have exotics you need to buy, or want to focus a lot, then the cyphers have relevance and is the only real reason to farm strange coins, Xenology and rep resets for the cyphers. I find myself just spending the strange coins on materials, then random weapons most of the time to rank him up to get the cyphers and to renew the strange buff. I have plenty of exotic armor, that I could use a cypher to get the artifice slot, but even then, most of my builds have been made with existing armor and without that artifice slot taken into account, so it isnt very important and requires basically all different legendary armor to actually take advantage of the artifice slot that it isnt worth the time. Only the exotic class item is actually useful with the armor that I have to get the splits that I want (which means that each class item now must get a cypher, so that is the only reason that I rank up for the cypher). I think there should be a vending machine next to Xur which has glimmer for strange coins! Think thats a great idea. Which would provide glimmer for the strange coins, but not the rep increase affiliated with Xur himself.

We need something, and I was fairly well set up to handle glimmer spending Iron banner focusing costing 20k PER ENGRAM obliterated me as I went for a couple god rolls Now I’m kinda broke and am missing one of my god rolls… please Bungie, this economy kinda sucks

Never had this problem when I had my legendary shards but of course Bungie has to -blam!- that up because apparently new players are too dumb to learn how to dismantle items for legendary shards. All they had to do was remove shards from focusing and make shards the currency for xur. Instead we get a new currency that caps out at 99 instead of an unlimited cap like shards and a constant glimmer problem when you're trying to focus weapons and armor.

Do you have a tier 6 glimmer finder equipped to your ghost? I don't ever run out of glimmer. Extra glimmer from Xur would be a nice option tho.
