Can we have a search bar for ornaments and shaders?

Just like the title mentioned, it's too hard for me to find specific ornaments among hundreds of choices even I tried to mark some as favorite. Can we just have a search bar for those stuff?

  • They should have added that when they changed all the shaders. Bit late now but still a good idea!

  • I'd settle for an effect on a new shader icon which highlights it instead of trying to find it through pages and pages of icons.

  • I thought up a perfect solution for this years ago (I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this idea). Simply put, the ability to apply custom tags to shaders or potentially just a sort of folders feature. I even made a simple MSPaint example of the UI for how it could work, but I think the UI has been changed a bit since I made it, so it's probably no longer compatible.

      • Strongly agree! I think the ideal for me would be: -Favorite system (like we currently have) -Search bar (as you suggested) -Specific color search, this would likely be a big project but my idea would be that you could select a region on a piece of gear and search for shaders that would make that specific region the color you select. It would use broad categories like green, red, blue, white, etc and not be too specific or robust: some colors may need to be tagged with more than one color if they’re an ambiguous color. Likely these classifications/interactions already exist somehow in the code (as I severely doubt for every shader and piece of gear someone is manually selecting where it should shade, as that would be incredibly inefficient code; likely areas of gear are labeled as “cloth”, “metal”, etc. or “region 1”, “region 2”, etc and those labels are referenced by the shader and the colors are applied appropriately), it would just be a matter of making the user be able to intuitively access and visualize these labels, and also manually labeling shaders with color tags the player could access. It would be a time consuming process, but I imagine much of the framework should already exist in the code and it’d just be a bit of busy work polishing up the labels, adding color tags to the shaders, and making the UI. The new shader system has been a huge step up, even if it takes some relearning. The fact I can tell how something shades fairly consistently now is amazing. But a bit more quality of life to help search through the hundreds of shaders would be greatly appreciated!

      • Could add emotes to that. When people can upwards to 7 pages of shaders or emotes, a search bar can come in handy.
