Storms edge

This super is far too strong in crucible. There is no counter, the killing distance is too wide for a super that instant kills. You should be able to jump away from this if you are paying attention. I have double jumped away while this is being cast in my direction and still been killed. Do you even test these things?

    It needs damage resistance during the animation before the teleport You are a sitting duck up there

    • I've been literally just pulled out of my super for no reason. I was shot 3 times by a SMG *after* my knife landed directly on someone. Not suppressed, just no teleport for no -blam!- reason. And people say it's broken.

      • As a Hunter main I'd say it could probably use a radius nurf. You can be killed fairly easily using it but once you get it going you'll kill whatever you're close to, not to mention it has very good range. If both were pulled back slightly it'd be fine I reckon.

              • If they cast it infront of you, shoot them. It's that easy. The wind up takes forever and has almost no dr. If it's coming around the corner give it space. You get the cooldown and the wind up time to get the kill

Do you even test these things?[/quote] Just shoot the guy as he casts it? I’ve shutdown a few dozen hunters by shotgunning or meleeing them as they do their silly spinning.

              • It’s essentially three instant T-Crashes. And on top of that, its radius is larger. Bungie. Like seriously? As if nerfing Lorely but given a coked-out version to Warlock wasn’t enough, you gutted T-Crash and just gave a -blam!- version of it to Hunter.

                • I have avoided several of these supers by just jumping straight up. The guy launches in, i jump he tps under me and misses. Or just shoot him during wind up animation. No there isnt alot of time, but a sniper or jotunn just obliterates it.

                  • I did some testing with it & it turns out the hunter teleports to the target(random who if choose if more then 1 within the radius) and not the sword location if they are with in the radius. A way you should be able to counter/deal with the Storm's Edge is watch where they throw the sword then jump away from that area. But you cant do this because they teleport to the target NOT the sword. This being said, an effect adjustment Bungie could make is the caster teleports to where the sword lands and not where the target is. Maybe also reduce its damage resist by 5%.

                    • What’s it’s damage resistance cause I’ve been up close and personal with one that legit had a sliver of health. I shotgun meleed him and he survived, phased through me and kill me with it 💀

                      • I love seeing hunters zap around killing everything they touch. It looks badass. I get to see it 3-4times per match per hunter. It has the same counter as most supers. if you see it in time you can run, attempt to dodge/ put some space between or focus fire. Otherwise just like other supers you will be dead pretty fast. I just don’t like that hunter have a super fast One hit melee while as a titans if I want I have to charge my thunder clap for a one hit kill. Basically a death sentence unless I’m camping corners.

Do you even test these things?[/quote] It’s quite good, but it does have multiple counters. The damage it deal is restricted to pretty much just horizontal. Unless you’re directly hit, jumping does work.

                          • You can dodge it very consistently with hunter jumps and blink. high lift and other hovers need to be timed but they also work. Do not jump away. Jump straight up and above it. Did you even test these things?

                              • Saw someone use storms edge in iron banner once. He was dead in about 2 seconds. Haven't seen one since. Its not OP, you just don't know how to kill guardians in super

                                  • I mean it’s not always an instant win card, play smart and i recommend two things A: if the super is active, never go to the ground stay high up and you will actually survive B: never stand in the open, the blade can hit you and teleport to you meaning a 100% death C: don’t try and run, this is the first super that is basically a roaming super that has range and a large area of effect, my advice, rush it from different angles and repeat from a and b
