Exotic Ciphers are too hard to come by
Right now the only way to get exotic ciphers is the rank reset at some vendors and Xur’s Xenology quest, which hasn’t been updated since it was put into the game. Having to complete 21 Vanguard strikes (or 11 Master nightfalls) for a SINGLE exotic ciphers every week is insane. Please give us more ways to get exotic ciphers that respect our time.

I farmed the NF Adept (Advanced now) a bunch this weekend, easily did the Xenology quest, got loads of cores/prisms, and each run gives you 16 strange coins with the Strangest buff. Sure, it gets a bit boring, but its a good material farm and you can easily get pathfinders near completion and just need to fill in a couple nodes that cant be done in the NF. I think I reset Xur twice. So I gained 3 cyphers in one day of farming the NF. I was mostly running to get prisms and vanguard engrams. I refuse to do vanguard ops unless I absolutely must to complete a final node in the pathfinder to complete it (way too many battlegrounds).

I'm fairly sure you can do the weekly exotic mission for a much faster way of doing that quest. How long does it take to farm lost sectors for exotics to get rank resets at Rahool? Some are fairly quick iirc. Maybe wait for a fast one and just go nuts then.

It takes 27 vanguard strikes to get 9 exotic engrams, so needing 21 for a cipher doesn’t bother me.

This I can agree on and Xenology just takes too long. The amount needs to be cut in have. Maybe at them in as random drops in more places.
