Shame on you Bungie for continuing to ignore SOLO players' concern.

1 ReplyThe game was a CO-OP game since day 1. it was never designed as a solo game. The whole concept of the games has been based on a 3 person fireteam Warlock/Hunter/Titan
-
2 RepliesEdited by Motorhead England: 6/30/2024 2:41:42 AMThis argument will rage on for ever, those who want to solo the mission, and those who defend it being a dual mission. The one fact that is uncontestable is that solo players ARE being excluded. If a solo player goes into the mission with any other person, that solo player is no longer solo....a simple fact. This is a double standard. A double standard is a code or policy that favours one group or person over another. Double standards are unfair, and this is proof of Bungie reneging about what they said prior to launch about them wanting their players to play how they wish to.

Hey I suggest going on Twitter, Facebook, steam, etc basically everywhere and putting in a review on this subject. Also, get people to do it as well.
-
14 RepliesPreach. I don’t want help. I don’t want a clan. I want to play the game alone because that’s the most fun for me. The end.
-
They ignore a lot. They don't care they just want money for barely viable product. That children is called cash grab company.
-
You are correct, but you will never win against the idiots on these forums. My advice is don’t even try, Bungie don’t pay any attention to the forums so you are putting yourself through loads of angst for nothing.
-
95 RepliesThey did this by design, a calculated move to further the prejudice of their game world, which makes them more money at the expense of others enjoyment. Because it is entirely deliberate they are unlikely to come on and apologise or remove their exclusion. Its what they want. They may come on and repeat one of their bad justification cover stories: that Destiny is "best" played with others (Is it? According to whom?) or "we're building world to inspire friendships" (No you're doing nothing of the kind but mandating the exclusion of others for your own greed). So I wouldn't have high hopes. Virtue-signalling companies aren't virtuous.
-
The only concern is that they bought a multi-player game thinking them as a solo were a priority xX

It's not that I don't have friends. I have friends, tons of friends. The smartest friends. You know it I know it we all know it. The terrorists at Bungie are forcing us to make friends tho. I mean make more friends. Trust me some of the smartest people on the planet are my friends.
-
10 RepliesThey’re (Bungie) not ignorant of the fact that solo players persist in the endeavors. They want you to find friends or teammates within the game either by clans, LFGs, etc. The problem is the players. Lotsa bad players and worse clans out there. There are good players out there; tho few and far between. Searching for a good clan or teammates can be like hunting a needle in a haystack. Most are elitist, eccentric and/or just toxic.

3 RepliesThe problem with the replies of many, is rudimentary at best that being 'get friends'! The problem many of us have, is we do have friends, family, work, a life, and do not spend all day everyday playing. LFG is toxic as all of hell, and the built in system, well--- That some activities should be fireteam I agree those being raids and GM-NF's after that, there really should be match making and let the player beware. And any argument that Bungo does not want to listen to the people whinning about the match making - also null and void, they never care nor listen so--- Oh and then there's the problem that those of us from the beginning have pretty much lost all our friends from the Destiny universe, more then once. This get friends cry gets old fast and some of us just don;t care enough to waste that much time, yet desire to still play. So this change in FS to most everything requiring wasting time to play is so worth not playing the game anymore.

Solo players money is as good in the eververse as anybody else’s.

1 ReplyIMHO: I don’t feel neglected or left out of doing any PvE / PvP activity. If I want teammates for help on a quest or something, I’ll go LFG and start my own group….occasionally it goes pear-shaped - usually with a player immediately bouncing or just acting the goat. Almost every other time, it’s worked out fine - with / without mics. And quite often, a Sherpa or two show up! This also happens when I grind in Trials - for engrams and rank-up rewards; my 0.3% ceiling keeps me well grounded re visits to the Lighthouse. 🤣 Been there once before via a carry raffle win…and I did my bit to help us get there, too! So, grinding engrams for stuff I don’t have, is my goal. Back in the day, my regular buds and me did that stuff all the time…for fun! But everything changed after the Sunset debacle. Friends List evaporated virtually overnight. People bounced. Then, so did I…to WF (MR24 😎) And then, much later, I came back…but this time, my engagement with the ‘new’ vibe would be different: no raids / dungeons / the odd GM (Conquerer half done) / no more chasing this or that…just me - playing the way I want to.🙂 I almost didn’t buy TFS … but after all the positive noise being made, and appreciating the efforts by Joe…even though he bounced, I pulled the trigger…and got my triangle ship and all the other goodies, too! ✅ TFS campaign on normal is my comfort level. Did it on my H - void / lower tree. The 12-man mission was epic…and ‘closed’ the 10-year book for me. Everything else I’m doing now is ‘extra time’ - so to speak! I tried the campaign on my T on Legend mode…nah! Not for this old tortoise. I took my T on normal mode as far as the final 3 missions…completed one or two, then ran out of any desire to grind on any further. My W might be following on… It would be nice, once the campaign was completed on one character, to have the option to repeat or skip for the other two. The PH patrol zone is locked for my T and W. I burned through the super glitchy Khostov Exotic mission, which was a pain, and confusing AF!? 🧐 And now, Khostov Exotic gun is nerfed!? 😶 WTF? I switched my interest to doing the vex stuff on my W…seeing as PH patrol zones are gated. My first few runs in those auto-join missions were a pain. Both of the Helm activities. Speedster teammates playing their own games…too far ahead or way behind - in the vex Neomuna jumping one. Nah! Don’t like those. But I did/do enjoy go hunt stuff on Nessus missions; these are fun! Wrapping up: I’m happy to pootle about the place doing stuff that I enjoy. I’m okay to LFG if needed on quests or triumphs that I’m looking to complete - and there are lots of nearly done Seals yet to do! Perhaps, I might get around to getting my Conqueror Seal done…but, stuff like that needs a bunch of regular buddies to do it with…as that is where the fun is. Problem is, the current D2 vibe is not the same as the D1 vibe…no, this overturned Neomuna vibe ain’t for players like me… I get no joy from ‘playing my life’ Neomuna style in virtually every low tier activity. I still have no interest in Raids or Dungeons, or ‘timer’ activities, or other’ End Game’ styled activities. None whatsoever…and that is unlikely to change. Also, I’m not looking for a carry re any of the a/m…though I am aware and appreciative of the many fabulous Guardians out there who would happily help out in that regard! I salute you all. 👍 In a nutshell: the stuff I can do by myself, I do. The stuff for autojoin activities, I do. Stuff I need rando buds for, I start an LFG team. Stuff I don’t want to do, well, I just don’t! Easy-peasy, really! 😉 Just my 2d worth. YMMV Play fair! Play nice! Don’t be mean! 👈 Ease springs! 🫡

You’re playing a multiplayer game dude if most of you guys are solo species then singleplayer games are for you
-
Maybe don’t play a multiplayer game 😂
-
Your playing a multi-player game! Realize that there's gonna be things you can't do or won't get because of that. Or work out your issues and play with other humans. It's actually really fun and rewarding!
-
And Bungie better continues to do so. How about you choose a singleplayer game instead of expecting a multiplayer game to adept to you?
-
Its an MMO that has forever been about doing stuff in groups. 95% of the game can be played solo. The only things that can't be done solo are raids (and some of them can actually be done solo) and dual destiny a one off exotic mission that only needs to be done 1 time per character. So please tell me how bungie is "ignoring solo players?"
-
1 ReplyPeople refuse to interact with mechanics and tools within the game, but expect Bungie to create entirely new systems so that the player can be rewarded for… not interacting with mechanics and tools within the game. Is it just me or does that seem entitled?
-
Edited by OmegaAnnihlator: 7/1/2024 10:04:30 PMNot everything is meant to do solo. If you don't want too interact with other people then don't do those activities, there's so many other things you can do by yourself so stop complaining that 5% of the game makes you group up with others and get it done.
-
3 RepliesSolo players continue to ignore LFG and FTF.
-
Grow up and get your headset on 🙄
-
I think there's enough tools in place for the lone player to utilize to attempt all content in the game.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 6/30/2024 7:06:20 AMI’m a solo player. I don’t feel ignored. I sucked it up and got the mission done. Jonty28 helped me. He offers help regularly on these forums. If you spent the time you do complaining it, doing the mission, you’d have some pretty powerful class items.. The mission is amazing too. I’d suggest it to anyone.

The 2 hard mode seasonal missions have matchmaking, where they never have before So obviously they are not ignoring us just because one mission requires communication
